We stayed here for one night last month to break up a long journey, and didn't regret choosing The Peacock over a bland chain hotel! It was a very cosy, comfortable room with a lovely view, had a nice relaxed feel to it and the staff were very friendly and welcome. WiFi and breakfasts were good too. Would definitely stay...

We were made to feel very welcome by Martin who runs the inn. The bed was very comfortable and our room looked out onto a large pleasant grassy field. This inn is close to some very nice places to walk around in the Chiltern hills. The restaurant and pub was great as well and so convenient for us to just...

My first visit was on New Years Eve with a friend. Attendance was by ticket only to make the evening more exclusive and it worked. We had the most amazing Buffett with as much as you could eat. A duo was playing in the background and all the guests joined in the celebrations together. We enjoyed the food so much...

I was very impressed with this hotel, the room are recently refurbished, very light with open aspects across the fields. My room had French doors plus a window. There is fast wifi in the room, I had a three way skype video conference for over a hour without a glitch. Mobile phone signal not good but you can use voice...

I ended up here with my dog after reading reviews on TA. We felt very welcomed by the bar staff. Toby (the dog) was offered a bowl of water which was most welcome after a long morning walk. I had a roasted veg and feta puff pastry tart. It was delicious. The pastry was beautifully thin and the toppings were...

Good, well kept beer and food on offer at this friendly hotel and restaurant about 1 mile south from the Princes Risborough to Thame Phoenix Trail. The pie of the day was a proper home cooked, individual steak and ale pie, served with mash and vegetables and the sandwiches were also very wholesome, served with a generous portion of chunky...

Had our Christmas party at the Peacock last night and what a great evening. Catering for large groups is always a challenge but the food was fantastic, hot and beautifully presented with no sense it was mass catering. Well done everyone. The peacock goes from strength to strength

The title says it all really. I enjoyed a lovely meal, served by staff who actually seemed to care about your happiness. This was followed by one of the best night's sleep that I have ever had in a hotel (Hypnos beds and mattresses apparently). I really couldn't recommend the Peacock highly enough.
