We are use to having our 1bdr unit as we are time share owners and were not aware of the renovations until a day before arrival. We had a hotel type room with a mini frig, microwave and juliette balcony. Our bed was comfortable but I noticed popcorn on the floor close to the bed. We didn't eat popcorn so it was missed during cleaning before we checked in. The bathroom was small and tight and the toilet low. As this place allows pets and I saw some fairly large dogs I can only hope they clean thoae rooms better than they cleaned ours. The workout room is awesome, as are the common areas and the food at the restaurants on site was tasty. The property has access to Serenity Spa next door which was a draw for me and services there gave me access to their private pool, hot tub, sauna, etc which was less crowded and no kids than the resort. The doors and walls are thin and I could hear conversations in both along with tantrums. The hotel is dated, but the location is the biggest draw, the golf course is right there and they offer bikes to get around if you feel ambitious.its a good clip from the store via bike, about 13 mins by car. They have a game room for the kids but this location is really for a mature crowd there is the pools and scenery not a lot to keep teens enthused the ones I saw looked bored, hence why they were at the pools and hot tub all day and the little kids live at the pool from sun up to sundown. Most were with grandparents who brought the family. When they finish the renovations it should be a great place but right now it leaves a lot to be desired from this owner.

Severely understaffed. They had a job fair while I was there and people started working the next day so this will improve. Staff was generally friendly and room was clean enough. Housekeeping was non existent, even when requested. If you have children make sure to request a room close to the lobby. My room was a half mile walk from the main lobby, pools and beach. They have people in golf carts to transport you back and forth but I can’t imagine having to do that with kiddos. The resort is not close to anything in Panama beach so plan on using Ubers or renting a car and driving a lot if you want to leave the resort. Food is very expensive and restaurants do not serve breakfast. Plan on $20+ per entree for lunch and dinner.

Our visit to Sheraton Panama City Beach was a very pleasant surprise. After a long 2 day drive we arrived to check in somewhat early. The Guest Associate, Irina, greeted us with a kind and compassionate smile. She was very accommodating to our requests. Upon entering our room it felt very comfortable. The only concern we had was the carpet needed to be steam cleaned, it was very spotted.
It also would help if they provided some disposable dishes and utensils to use in the mini kitchenette. The refrigerator never got cold enough for food. The employees were all very friendly, always concerned about making our visit comfortable and relaxing. Dylan at the Flip Flops Bar greeted us every afternoon with a genuine smile asking how our day has been. He remembered my husband's favorite drink is an Arnold Palmer. Tracy took extra time to sit with guests and talk about their day, asking if he could do anything to make it absolutely wonderful. The Serenity Spa is amazing. Definitely treat yourself!
The golf is very expensive and the employees were not as accommodating as the rest of resort staff. This is not a luxurious Marriott resort, but the superior customer service makes up for it.
We will definitely return again when we drive to Florida. Island Time Catamaran sunset cruise was incredibly beautiful. We were lucky enough to see several dolphins.

Unfortunately, I had to evacuate from Hurricane Ida and had limited time and choices as to where to book in. Had I done my research, I would have chosen a different location for the obscene amount of money that I paid. Let’s start with the positives. Pets are allowed and the resort waived the nonrefundable pet fee. Check in was easy and I never had to wait whenever I went to the front desk (which was a lot….more on that later). I actually had a first floor room with a view of the golf course which was nice. The bartenders in Tides were very nice even though it was clear that they were very overworked. Ok, here are the negatives. Despite being hurricane evacuees, we were charged a $30 a da “resort” fee. For what? We didn’t do a thing while we were checked in other than try to get an internet connection so I could find out how bad the damage was at home and when I could leave. Secondly, we were there for 8 days and did not get housekeeping the entire time. We had to ask at the front desk for towels, emptying trash cans, etc. Whether we got what we asked for was hit or miss. The towel bar in the bathroom just fell off the wall out of the blue. The carpet in the room was badly stained and so was the bedding. The place is literally falling apart. Lastly, this place is really off the beaten path. You have to drive anyplace to get food or shop away from the resort and it’s not 5 minutes. It’s a good 20-25 ride. It was fine the first few days but started to get old fast. I wished I had booked something cheaper and more centralized because this is not a $275 a night hotel by any stretch.

We had booked thru RCI so they put us in the worst room (first floor next to the lobby entrance). Everyone entering the lobby from the parking lot walked 15’ in front of our room. Can you say NO PRIVACY. The room had no shears only black out drapes, good ones so it was like a cave. The lighting is so bad that we put the main bathroom light on as a night light. For that it was perfect, but impossible to put on make up or shave with its light. All of the remaining lights were also very dim. The room had an empty shampoo bottle. The first morning I called for some shampoo and an extra blanket and corrective action for the shower (If anyone in the hotel flushed a toilet while you were showering the capacity went down to a drizzle and lost all hot water, plus other issues). They promptly sent someone with the shampoo and blanket and someone from engineering about the shower problem. When Housekeeping came they took back the blanket and evidentially tossed the mouthpiece to my CPAP machine (it had been drying on a hand towel on the bathroom counter). I could go on, but needless to say we checked out early and will not be returning. And no we did not get any money back because we had booked thru RCI.

We were staying at the resort for a conference, if that had not been the case I would have left after being assigned a room. Most (if not all) conference attendees were booked in rooms in the main building where the rooms were reportedly cleaner and attended to. When we checked in the put us over in the "golf complex" a walk or drive from the conference center. Once we arrived at the rooms, it began to feel like we had been banished. Smaller, outdated rooms, that were dirty and poorly lit. We had a terrible time getting a hold of staff to get more towels (2022 but still not cleaning rooms during stays). There appeared to be construction workers working in the room next door but really they just talked on the phone all afternoon which we could hear through the paper thin walls. The property had a variety of pools, which were fine but it was difficult to get towels at pools, and bathrooms by pool/bar weren't cleaned all week.
I only stayed because I was there for a conference but I would never recommend or every stay at this resort again, take your business elsewhere.

We brought a family with us for 5 days mini vacation at the Sheraton. The staff at the hotel can't be any nicer, especially I like to thank Debi, and front desk staff, they are taking taking extra step to take care the guests, even we all experienced staff shortage. I have to give them whole lot of credit!
The hotel it self located in a quiet area away from the big condos, that give us a peace full resting 5 days even we had rain every day but the grounds are so beautiful and well kept, we were able to enjoy the garden, the wooden bridge and private beach a little while the rain stops.
The room is average resort rooms, you can see some age, and the draining is very slow, but is clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was on the par with similar hotels, they really provide extra precaution to provide gloves for guests taking food, that was very nice.
Free parking always a plus.
We did eat couple times at the hotel, the food were good, service was slow but the staff tried very hard!

Upon check into our $350+a night “bay view” room, there’s no water in sight. It was on the second floor with no elevator. My wife is handicapped but we made it. We unpacked and went to dinner.

Upon returning 4 hours later, the room was smothering hot. Called the front desk, who sent a technician, saying that “ he has to do something for the AC to work .

In the meantime there’s coffee rings on the sofa table, no lock on the balcony door and unidentified stuff on the bathroom floor.

The technician quickly said he was going to let the front desk know that we had to move rooms. 10 minutes later we were brought another room key. All our luggage and the wife down the stairs again. She’s suffering in pain and ready for her shower. It’s now after 10:15 pm and we noticed there’s no wash cloths. …..another call and again waiting. The staff are very friendly and helpful but these are preventable issues that ruined our stay.

If I pay this much for a single night & you can’t clean a room ,provide basic necessities , and provide the type of room I grossly overpaid for- then I should have stayed at a Red Roof Inn. At leastI would get what I paid for . The expectation for the price here is not even close. I do not recommend and will never stay at another Sheraton.

Very disappointed. The last time I wrote a review on this place it was a 5 star, now I give it a -5. My wife and I visited again to see Jessica the bartender at the dock, and the bartender at the dock told me she was no longer there. What……We couldn’t believe it. I asked her did she know why and she said management. Okay I understand that because she would get swamped with people back in October with no help, so this made since. So the wife and I decided to hang around for a bit and get some food since it was so good last time. We wanted to order some food but the one bartender I can’t remember her name(she was to busy entertaining the drunk guys at the bar and taking shots with them). Keep in mind this is 1pm in the afternoon, we then see another girl come out of the bathroom and we remember her very well Sylvia. She went above and beyond to try and make us happy. After talking to her for a bit and finding out places to go eat and have fun, we placed our order. We wanted the ceviche and we’re told they were out. So we decided to just order the crab stack and when it came the avocado was so raw that we couldn’t even bite into it. At this point my wife is getting irate and asked Sylvia can we just get a chicken quesadilla with fries. She says of course, we watch as she tells the kitchen what happened with the stack and we would like to order something else. The guy in the kitchen looks at her and says it’s not on the menu so don’t get comfortable ordering this. At this point I’m sitting in amazement because I thought the customer is always right and clearly that wasn’t the case. After hearing all that we left and went to off the hook down the road, and everything was great. The next day we decided to eat at flip flops and I thought the dock was bad. We sat at the bar for 20 mins before the girl Brianna said anything to us. We ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and the margherita flat bread. The chicken on the Caesar was frozen on the inside and the flatbread was burnt. For a place that is supposed to be top notch the service was terrible and I don’t think Brianna knows that smiling will make things better. This is the last time we will ever stay at this property.

THE GOOD: I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about the hospitality and service from the bar staff. Dayna, Luke, Tracy and Lauryns were AMAZING...nothing short. Always friendly and welcoming and great with area recommendations. The pool staff of Madison and Hannah were so friendly too. Happy to help us with anything we needed or suggestions we wanted for our trip. The games and recreation provided over our stay by Wyatt at the pool were great too. They were all incredibly welcoming and just a ton of fun to hang out with. Felt like friends you had known forever! Seriously made our trip!

THE BAD: The breakfast service was terribly lacking. We had the buffet every morning, and we consistently sat for 15-20 minutes every morning before we were even greeted. Getting drinks and flatware was painful. It didn't seem to be a situation of under staffing most mornings - just not very hospitable and service focused. The housecleaning and room cleanliness were also lacking and unbelievably inconsistent. The front desk wasn't incredibly motivated to help either. They did listen and were polite. But no action unlike Jerome and Scott in food and beverage who continued to check in to see if things were improving.

The staff of Flip Flops and Pelican's seriously took what could have been a really miserable trip given the challenges in certain areas of the hotel and gave us an experience that we can look back on fondly. Kudos to the fun and professionalism that they brought every day to their jobs...your guests appreciated your efforts! This property is lucky to have you!
