We stayed at this Auberge for 1 night and the staff were very friendly. The room with a balcony and valley views was more than adequate and even had tea making facilities in the room. The quality of the meal was superb with a window view and superb sunset. The food was very local produce and was of a high...

Heading south from Paris, my son and I, we wanted some peaceful and authentic stay for one night. L'Auberge du Fel has been a perfect one. The village is gorgeous and if it wasn't for the auberge you'd probably neglect it and that would be a shame. A preserved architecture leads you through the crest of the hill with both...

Some of us walked here from Le Port along the GR - quite challenging as several valleys must be crossed and a pack of hounds is billeted en route - while others drove up to this very pretty village. The walkers received a warm reception and cold beers. The meal was simple, but classy, and we were very pleased. Service...

We visited the restaurant twice in our week staying in Le Fel in a holiday home. Whilst the hotels restaurant decor is more on the basic side - the food was wonderful (typically 2 choices of Starter/Main Course/Desert) and very reasonable. Also, the views at the back of the restaurant are beautiful (unfortunately on the evenings we were there, the...

We returned to the Auberge du Fel, after an absence of many, many years. The location could not be faulted, perched on a ridge in the tiny hamlet of Le Fel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We were two couples, one having a front facing room, overlooking the terrace, which perhaps on a hot summers day might be noisy...

From the Logis web site this looked great. High in the hills near the river Lot and with 3 chimneys and cocottes. It is reached by narrow twisty roads (although the D107 from Entraygues was closed so allowing only 1 acesss) and the village and views were lovely and it was very popular with walkers. The room was adequate and...

This fairly small auberge is situated in the absolutely gorgeous tiny village of le Fel. A four and half kilometre drive up a very steep little road, with hairpin bends at every turn. Once you reach the top, there is a truly lovely narrow plateau and maybe 25 little houses and the auberge. The hotel is simply furnished and whilst...

once we found the signs it was well worth the twisting drive up the hill. Our room had a balcony overlooking the valley which at night had a wonderful sunset followed by twinkling lights from distant villages. The evening meal was outside on the terrace. Our half board menu was more than sufficient with a wonderful local cheeseboard and wine....

We arrived to find no record of our dinner booking but the owner finally said this was no problem (reasonably large party so that was a relief!). By the time we sat down and managed to get a drink, however, we were gasping!. Lovely setting in this tiny, peaceful hamlet. Dinner was well cooked and tasty but not exceptional. The...
