We went for my husbands 40th birthday and it was the most amazing vacation we have ever taken! Our concierge was Martinez and he was great! The property, the food and the service were 5 stars! We will definitely go back.
My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon at secret Cap Cana. We had the best concierge at the resort!!!!. Matiel Reyes made possible that we had our dreamed honeymoon. Since we got to our room, everything was special from placing a sign of honeymooners at our door to find champagne and rose petals in our bed. He went above and beyond our expectations. Sending messages early in the morning with the hotel activities, etc. Those are the details that make you feel special! . During our stay for honeymoon, it was my husband’s birthday too and Matiel had the special attention to send us a private breakfast to our room, champagne and then a delicious cake and birthday card to my husband. If I could rate the hotel with more than 5 star I would. Believe me, I’ve been in other resorts, but secrets cap Cana have the best service ever and you can see it from the front desk to the restaurants, bars, pool, beach, spa, Gym, everywhere. All employees are very professional and friendly, I also want To thank Marcia at the pool bar, paco, Jorge, the cat in charge of activities. The list is long 😃. Thank you secrets Cap Cana!!! We’ll see you soon!!…
We had a great honeymoon and felt the resort was very personalized by having such a great concierge named Manuel. The shows (especially the Queen show), entertainment and food were all fantastic. We would definitely come back and would recommend to our family and friends.
Secret Cap Cana Resort was a fantastic experience. I loved the hospitality. Matiel Reyes was my concierge, and he was amazing and so helpful with everything and made my boyfriend's birthday romantic dinner special. Thank you for the special cake. I loved going to the coffee shop to see Esther & Diana and Joanna daily. They were so amazing and welcoming. Marlene at the hibachi restaurant was so great and hospitable. Keila at the buffet was sweet. My romantic dinner on the beach was great. The surf and turf was good!! The best food was the buffet. I didn't really enjoy the food at the restaurants, but the buffet was great!!! The pools and, ambiance, hospitality made my experience unforgettable. The beach was beautiful ❤️ Thank you
From the moment you arrive you are greeted with friendly smiles, Champaign, and warm rags refresh your hands and face from your travel. Checking in in simple and you are immediately assigned a concierge to handle all you needs while visiting. We were assigned Geraldo. Geraldo introduced himself and personally walked us to our room. On the way he made sure to familiarize us with the layout of the property and where to find different areas of interest. He then gave us full brief of our room and how each of the immunities function. Before leaving he made sure to provide a direct contact line to his cell phone and insisted we do not hesitate to inform him of any request we may have. He wants our stay t be the best and will do anything within his means to facilitate that happening. For the next week that we stayed Geraldo did just that. Any and all request, from dinner reservations to special party services Geraldo was but a text away. Every employee at the property was beyond friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. Ali, a bartender, Yidalbi, a server at poolside were outstanding. While relaxing in the pool we never waited for refreshments. Yidalbi had the perfect timing of coming by at that exact moment we needed a refill. The Bali bed is a must. Prime cabanas with a full size Bali bed within feet of the beautiful water. Each is assigned a private server for the day. Our server was Rose. She was amazing. Not only providing our choice of drinks but providing other flavors to try along with amazing fruit trays and charcuterie boards without even a request. This property is a must and we will definitely be back soon!…
The food, resort and staff were fantastic! We had Anibal as our Butler and he was fantastic! We enjoyed the entire week and it was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend Secrets CapCana. The food selection was great and the quality was top notch.
We are currently at the airport waiting for our flight home after being at the resort for a week. I figured now would be a good time to give my thoughts. Warning, it’s alot. To give background, this was our first time at a Secrets Resort and our first trip to the DR. We have been to Cancun twice, staying at the Valentin (loved and would return) and Breathless (was not our scene and would not return). Check in: Was ok and pretty basic. You tell them your name and if you are preferred, you go to the preferred check in area and if not, you wait there in the lobby to check in. Preferred versus non preferred: We did not stay preferred and don’t feel like we missed out at all. When we booked a year ago, we were quoted 5 nights preferred ocean view and 7 nights non preferred ocean view for the same price. Very glad we chose to stay the extra 2 nights. Room: We were in room 2406 and our friends were in 2403. They said that their room was stuffy and humid (we agreed), leaving the sheets and their clothes damp. It was not a big enough issue for them to request a move, but if you are hot natured like my husband, we could not have stayed in there. Our room was great. Very good AC and no issue with humidity. Building 2 is very close to the lobby, the pool and all the restaurants. This, however, comes with a large drawback. It means it is also directly in front of the theatre and the lobby bar, where EVERY night they have some sort of either live music or DJ starting at 10:00pm. We are not party people and most nights were in bed around 10:00. It is extremely loud. So loud that we could lay in bed and hear every word to every song they were singing. It was bad enough that we almost requested a room change but we liked the room otherwise so just dealt with it. Food: Was very good. Market cafe (buffet) was our least favorite. It was fine, just nothing to write home about. It is HUGE and there is a ton of different food. So unless you are rediculousy picky, you will be able to find something. Himitsu was our other least favorite. We did the habichi and just thought it was ok. The “show” was basically us having to clap and yell and the chef banging the spatula around on the grill. Just not what we are used to when it comes to habichi. The food was good, but we would not go there again if we returned. El Patio was very good. Get the churro dessert if nothing else. It was amazing. Bordeaux was very good. My husband and I both got the filet and it was by far the best steak we have had at an all inclusive. Our favorite without question was Portofino. The food was outstanding. The lamb lasagna and mushroom ravioli were our favourites, but honestly it is all delicious. We did not eat at Oceana. We looked at the dinner menu and did not find anything on there that interested us. Room service is nothing special, but nice to have if you need a late night snack after having a few too many drinks. Coco cafe was GREAT. We love coffee so were there often. Staff: The staff are wonderful. They do work very hard. We noticed several staff that would be at the buffet at 7:30 am and then at one of the restaurants at 8:00 at night, so they work very long hours. We felt the language barrier was worse here than in Mexico. There were many times we had to repeat ourselves to staff or they had to repeat to us. Not an issue at all, just something to keep in mind. Our concierge, Matiel, was great. He would text us every morning with the daily activities and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Check out: Was fine. You meet with them ahead of time to get your pick up time and they come get your bags about 45 min before. A couple things: We did not do an excursion. The guys did the free cigar making tour, which they said was just a tourist trap. The lobby is full of staff trying to sell you something. You get a “key” worth $200 in credits and several times we had staff wanting us to bring them the key so we could use those credits and then they would sit you down for over an hour and try to sell you something. We refused to do it, but saw it happen to many people. It was a huge turn off as we felt we could not just walk around and enjoy the lobby without someone wanting to speak with us about it. We did not bring damp rid and did not need it. We did bring bug spray because we saw several posts about bugs, but never saw any and didn’t use at all. Lots of sunscreen is a must. You will start to burn after just 15 or 20 min in the sun here. The smoking thing was annoying. Signs were posted about smoking areas and how is it forbidden at the pool, but many did it anyway. The only thing we didn’t bring but would have been nice to have was a micro fiber towel for sunglasses. Yes, there is seaweed on the beach. You just step over it and get in the water and it’s fine. We did take advantage of the sailboat one day and it was fun. Overall this is a very nice resort. The grounds and the beach are beautiful. Would we return, absolutely. Would we pay the current prices to return, no. We personally feel that you can go to just as nice of a resort in Mexico for much cheaper.…
My wife and I just came back from Secrets Cap Cana from our honeymoon. It was an amazing time, the resort was absolutely beautiful, and the food was delicious. I couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon!! As for the staff I don’t even know where to start, they were just simply the absolute best . We did do the preferred option and I was glad we did! As we really enjoyed breakfast and lunch and rosewater and oceana restaurants. We also enjoyed the preferred lounge, the bartender Francey (sorry if its spelled wrong) made amazing drinks, my wife loved the chocolate martinis. We did spend our time at the non preferred pool as we liked the more upbeat vibe of the pool. The manatee bar the staff were exceptional, you were treated like family Manuel,Juvnio, Madenn, Elizabl, Vanessa and Odalis they are all top notch. The best for last our butler Aníbal was absolutely wonderful he would go above and beyond for whatever you needed. Aníbal was very attentive to us from first thing in the morning and through out the day. I would like to say thank to Aníbal and the whole staff for making this the best week with my amazing beautiful wife and I can’t wait to come back and see you all again!!…
The best hotel ever! I absolutely loved Secrets Cap Cana. I have just returned from a 2 week stay with my boyfriend and we can’t wait to return. Firstly the hotel is beautiful, the views are stunning and the pool and sea are so relaxing. The food is fantastic and so tasty with lots to choose from, our favourite was the French, so good! The sushi at lunch time is also delicious! But above all the best thing about secrets is the staff, I wish I remembered everyone’s names becuse every single person working at secrets is fantastic at their job, so polite, kind and welcoming, they seem to really love their jobs! In particular our concierge Gerado was amazing, really helpful and friendly, always coming to say hello and check we were enjoying ourselves, he was the best!. Doris and the other wait staff around the top pool were so upbeat and attentive, always making sure we had a drink. Diva, who always stopped to say hi to us and have a chat around the pool. Ronnie and James down at the romantic dinner were amazing, and the girls who served us when we booked the Bali bed were fantastic too. Thanks to all the staff, I wish I wrote down all of your names, there are too many fantastic staff to mention. Thanks for the best holiday ever!!!…
Secrets in Cap Cana is one of the greatest secrets in the Dominican Republic. No health or food issues there. Safe and awesome service. Great people. We always had a nice breeze despite the humidity. The servers always wanted to please you. They went out of there way to find me ginger ale, then had a 4-pack brought to my room. They went out of there way for me. Awesome.
