Stayed here for a night on an official function in Kota Belud. Located at one end of the town, it is a short distance from the main part of the town which includes the Pasar Tani, a must-visit attraction. A few kilometres away is the Tamu Pekan Kota Belud, a weekly big Sunday Market. The hotel has decent rooms with comfortable beds, a TV set and coffee-tea making facilities. Room rates are reasonable. No breakfast is included but there are a few coffee shops nearby for simple meals. The reception counter is not opened for 24 hours and guests must make prior arrangements if necessary for early check out and other needs. This hotel is also ideal for travellers on the way to the north for night stopover.

Stayed over a night before departing to the jetty next day. Not too bad for an overnight stay, with all basic necessities in the room and is walking distance to town. Massage provided next to the lodge was pretty good.

Pro: Large, comfortable rooms, elevators in the hotel, close to everything: Public Bank (for withdrawals), grocery store, eateries and departures by taxi and minivans.

Con: Smell of smoke in the bathroom the first two days, wifi available in lobby and 1st floor only, TV channels are very limited. Floor in the shower area is super slippery, best to leave floor towel in the shower.

What to do? Experience the Tamu Besar the last weekend of October. Visit the Sunday market. For fishing activities, river cruise to see the proboscis and other activities in Kota Belud, book with Borneo Cilipadi Tours in Kota Kinabalu. For a visit to Mantanani Island with pick up at TD Hotel, book with Palm Beach Holiday Tours or other tour agencies in KK as well. Visit to islands is not recommended during monsoon period (Dec., Jan., Feb).

The only so called hotel in Kota Belud. For those come to Kota Belud has no choice to stay here. The area of Kota Belud is shut down after 6.00 pm. No eatery place open during that time. the hotel is so old. The floor tiles is broken. The wifi at my floor is not functioning at all. The bed and pillows were smelly.

We stayed just one night in Kota Belud on our way from Kudat ( Tampat Do Aman) to Mantanani island. The place is very authentic, this lodge is nice and spacious, well located just accross a really nice massage salon ( Ask for the English speaking dusun lady Angelina), great restaurants, market and beautiful evening views of Kinabalu mountain.

Clean & spacious rooms. The bed is comfortable. Really close to restaurants so food is not a problem. Try to get a car and drive out to the outskirts of town. Great view of Mount Kinabalu and Paddy fields. Free wifi provided.

We were forced to sleep one night in Kota Belud (not actually the best town in Malaysia) because of the ferry for Mantanani, so we chose the TD (it seemed the least worst option).
It's located in a disturbing area: don't know why but I did not have the feeling to be safe.
The room is very large, but it ìs pretty poor and dirty.
We also found a cockroach during the night.
Not a memorable experience !!

Checked in here on 1 January 2017. Its located at the heart of Pekan Kota Belud, which is easy to reach. There’s quite a number of restaurants nearby so you can easily find places to fill in your hungry tummy. Review on the hotel, the room is quite spacious considering that we are getting the family room for ourselves. Just a bit to worry about is the toilet bowl. We never get to clean-flushed after using due to the water system at the hotel is very poor, told by the receptionist. Other than that, we dont have any complain.

We were on a week-long motorcycle trip around Sabah. Were not planning to overnight in Kota Belud but we were running out of daylight and it started to rain heavily. Our destination that day was Tip of Borneo but it was still 2-3 hours riding in the rain. We made a safety decision to spend the night at Kota Belud. We rode around yown and saw the huge sign. Our Agoda app had TD Lodge in their list so the booking was painless & hassle-free. The rooms are modern and clean. The rates were reasonable. After checking in, we had a excelkent two-hour massage across the street and then dinner behind the lodge. The next day, we walked to a restaurant near the way market and had roti canai, coffee and banana. Overall, surprisingly pleasant.

One of nicest hotels we stayed at in 2 months in malaysia. Huge room, clean and comfortable. Resonable price, although no breakfast included. Another negative, wifi is only available on the 1st and ground floor. Would stay here again.
