First of all, we had to ask about 10 different people how to get here as we NEVER did find a sign for either the hotel, marina, or the restaurant. Room is very outdated, needs lots of paint. Outlets need special adapters which they did provide when we checked in. The safe key was also available. Bed was hard. There...

We were lucky enough to get an ocean view room and the view was spectacular. These rooms are numbered 100 to about 110. Can't really comment on the marina view, but generally the room was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were always very helpful. There's some good places to eat and drink very close by and the ferry to...

Very spacious room, verandah with full view of the sea. No beach but concrete dock from which you can jump to the sea, very nice pool. Full buffet dinner with DJ on Saturdays, lively dancing. You need car or long distance taxi to get there. On marina, at border of French and Dutch invisible border

Nice and pretty large room, great view, good sense of intimacy, well-kept and nice garden, spectacular restaurant over the marina, very friendly and always helpful personnel; all these in a clean and civilized neighborhood with a lot of grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance (one cosy beach also - Dawn Beach - pretty close).

I know this is rated as a 3 star but, it is a good 2-star hotel. Located up a hill with beautiful vies of the ocean and marina. This is a small family operated hotel. The rooms are large and spacious and CLEAN. This is a very old building and desperately needs a lot of TLC. The pipes in the...

The water not always hot, but rooms are clean. There is also a very nice pool with a fantastic view! There is a beach...

I stayed for 10 days at Captain Oliver's and had a great experience. We had a very nice room which seems to have been renovated recently. I loved the all white furniture and the great balcony which had amazing views of the ocean and St Barth. The staff took care of all of our requests and questions and made us...

A piece of paradise, staff is great and very helpful. The room was clean and renovated with a huge balcony with amazing unobstructed view towards Saint Barths and the Marina. Each morning we got great coffee and a delicious breakfast.

Captain Oliver's Hotel is a landmark in Oyster Pond which is on the border between Dutch and French St Maarten. Since our flights from Canada are only available Sunday to Sunday and our timeshare is only available Saturday to Saturday, every year we have to figure out where to stay on our last night. This year my husband booked a...
