Small gold mining town good for a stop between Christchurch and Hokitika after visiting Hanmer Springs. Some interesting shops on the main street. The hostess is delightful and gave great touring advice. There is a choice between two star old characterful accommodation and 4 star modern accommodation. We choose the two star with the uneven floor, plenty of space, and...

We stayed in the luxury ground floor spa room for two wonderful nights after Kerry upgraded our booking. A fresh new room, with kitchenette, large bathroom with corner spa, all fittings are early colonial style. Very comfortable, we loved sitting on the porch, snacking on nz berries and wine on a sunny afternoon. We just love everything thing about Reefton....

Highly recommended accommodation in the beautiful historic Reefton. Our room upstairs was spotless and so warm and comfortable. So convenient with the beautiful Inangahua river and township right at our door, we walked everywhere.

Had a one night stopover here when driving from Dunedin to Picton. It was a long drive due to the SH1 closure, but this place was so amazing, really felt well rested ready for the drive next day. Reccomend to all.

We had a lovely four star room on the ground floor, thought it might be noisy but certainly was not, very quiet and private even though it was on the street side. Only just around the corner from cafes and pubs and some quaint shops.

What a gorgeous little town! We arrived in Reefton early evening and like the look of the Lantern. The staff was so friendly and helpful and we got a lovely newer room behind the main building at a good price. The room was lovely, spacious with comfortable bed, good size bathroom and there was a sitting area, table for two...

Great 2 bedroom extremely modern apartment. Their new ones. Huge apartment. Lots to see at Reefton. Don't listen to the naysayers! Nice choices for eats. River running nearby. Did a quick walk along the river and over the bridge.

It was the first hotel that we went to. We were greeted by a lovely young man and shown the options available. We took a new room upstairs with a balcony. Good sized room with pretty flash fittings and lovely comfortable bed. Highly recommendable. I would definitely stay again next time.

We stayed two nights here. We found the hosts very warm and personable. We were in the two star unit, so it wasn't flash but they had made an effort to modernise the room with new soft furnishings and outdoor settings. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Some of the paintwork could benefit from a fresh coat...
