The weather was lousy, but the facilities and owners of the park were very friendly. The view of the sea was up front and close and was spectacular. It was great to sit in reception with a cup of coffee, pet the cat Daisy, and have a great conversation with the owners while the Tasman Sea raged outside. I could have stayed a week.
Highly recommend staying here the containers are so comfortable to stay in. Stunning spot next to the beach. Beds super comfortable and containers nicely spread so you have privacy. Loved the fact that there was a fridge and kettle in room too.
This top 10 holiday park is by far the best one yet that we have stayed in. The layout and planting of the grounds was great ,it created private little areas for visitors to park up. It was obvious the owners had put a lot of effort into planning and creating the park . The pod we stayed in was stylish with extra details that provided us with everything we needed for our stay . Every area had something special to offer
Amazing spot with great facilities. Our camper van site was nestled in amongst huge flax’s which provided great shelter from the coastal winds and made for a private space. We had an unfortunate accident with our daughter after our son accidentally hit her in the head with a rock and Sue provided great first aid. As Ross beach is a little remote we were a bit stressed that we would need to travel to receive medical treatment. Will definitely be returning in the future.
This has been the nicest holiday park I have stayed at recently. It was a little pricey especially for an unpowered site. Facilities were fantastic. Was about 25 minutes from Hokitika and the nearest supernarket
