Received an excellent reception at this B and B and excellent homemade breakfast. The rooms had historical stories with the Emily room being very quaint and comfortable. Lengthy family history of the house and many interesting artifacts collected all over the world. Welcoming sitting room with welcoming hosts. Garden and pool would be lovely in warmer weather. The hosts went... More

We stayed at Real en Médoc for 4 nights in June 2015 as part of our trip in southern France and a cooking course in Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc my girlfriend attended. The owners are so unbelievably nice, it is hard to describe. Given that our french is rather limited, we ended up chatting with them in a mix of English, Spanish and... More

We had a fantastic stay at Chateau Real. The place makes you curious about the ancient history of the bourgeoisie. It is à house that is kept as traditional as possible what makes you wonder. The garden is huge and very well maintained, there is à Nice swimmingpool and enough possibilities to relax. The owners of the hotel are very... More

Spent a great three days at this wonderful gite. Patrick and Violaine are impeccable hosts: caring, friendly, helpful and multilingual. The house is elegant yet comfortable and its huge walled garden beautifully laid out with lawns, trees, flowers and swimming pool. The room we had in the annex building was huge and extremely comfortable. And the breakfasts ... endless quantities... More

Our 6-night stay at Chateau Real, an enchanting former wine estate, was wonderful, largely due to the personable, friendly, and helpful hosts, Violaine and Patrick. Breakfasts and candlelight dinners were sumptuous, truly gourmet. The setting is pastoral, with beautiful lawn and gardens within the walled estate. You will be in the heart of Medoc wine country, and close enough to... More

We recently stayed for two nights at Chateau Real and loved it. Violaine and Patrick and extremely welcoming hosts and its nice to spend time with them. An absolutely fantastic experience! During our recent trip to Bordeaux for a cycling trip, we spent two nights at The Real. The historic main house and adjacent guesthouse are beautiful and spacious. The owners, Violaine and Patrick, are the perfect hosts in every way. Violaine is a gourmet cook, so do not miss out on making dinner reservations. The grounds... More

We had a wonderful time staying with Patrick and Violaine in Septmber 2012. We stayed in room Elisabe and it met our needs perfectly. Additionally, we opted to have dinner at the Chateau one night and found out first hand how wonderful of a cook Violaine is. The value for the $ is excellent.
