My husband and I just spent two weeks in the State of Chiapas, MX. We had reserved a room for 2 nights at the Posada el Castellano in Comitan through Booking.com. We arrived late in the afternoon, tired and actually sick from Montezuma's revenge, to find the street in front of the hotel completely torn up with men replacing a...

This is an average hotel but they are trying hard to have most of the amenities. The hotel itself is pretty with a nice courtyard. We took the room on the 1st level. The room was clean, average size with a double bed and a single bed in one room. It is geared for families but we were fine with...

We stayed here for two nights in two different rooms. The location is convenient - just a few blocks away from the zocalo. The rooms were compact but not cramped. Both had two beds, a small dresser, a closet and a bathroom. Both were well ventilated. The staff were polite. We had breakfast once in the restaurant and enjoyed the...

This hotel was a bit more expensive than many of the others on our trip but it was worth it. The room was spacious and light and well fitted out. We had hot water, wifi, tv and a bedside light (a rarity in many hotels). The staff were friendly and helpful and it was easy walking distance to the centre.

Came to this hotel on the recommendation of a colleague. Found it to be somewhat average, with clean, decently sized rooms. The central courtyard is a nice touch but it was somewhat noisy until well after 10pm with staff/workers/etc. The hotel is currently being renovated and seems to have limited availability. Convenient access to the central plaza.
