We were pleasantly surprised with the cabins at Santa Rita. We had cabin #1 right next to the feeding station. After checking in , the cabin was opened up and the heat put on before we got to it. It was roomy and had everything you needed. The bed was okay, not exactly your plush bedding, but certainly adequate. The...

Very nice little cabins, clean, furnished with everything you need, in the middle of the woods with the river down at the back window. The mini kitchen has everything (except an oven), even a toaster! Mini front porch, very pleasant and quiet.

Stayed one night in a casita. Since there are no restaurants at the lodge the casita is equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals. The birds were very abundant at the bird feeding area which is close to the casitas and cabins. The gift shop has many great souvenirs.

I've been coming here for 30 years when I visit Tucson. Enough said about loving the place. I would be happy if it never changes! I come to hike and bird and there is plenty of both for many days, and it is so peaceful and quiet, even on New Years Eve! Comments here are so other visitors don't get...

My friends and I were really looking forward to finally hiking Mt Wrightson. Except the bear was still roaming the trails which were still closed, so we missed out on that. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay at the lodge. There were three of us and we stayed in cabin 7, which was the only one still available for our weekend...

Cabin was okay and had a comfortable feel. Air was fresh with lots of birds around. Nice place to relax until the next morning. We were told "do we know that dogs were not allowed." I said that when I booked that we had a service dog in training. " No problem." I am disabled and have a small dog...

This place is amazing. If you like birds, peace & tranquility then this is the place for you. My family & I rented cabin #5, which is the only deluxe cabin (cabin #18 is a deluxe casita), and it was super nice. Clean, well equipped and roomy. The staff at the gift shop are really nice & welcoming. The bird...

My son and I stayed here prior to a hike we planned to do in the area. It was very nice. The Cabin (#5) was very comfortable. We watched the football game and had some wine and cheese. I loved it. The next time I'll bring the Mrs. After we did our hike the next day we stopped by the...

Very enjoyable stay for two nights in this quiet canyon lodge. As an older lodge in a more remote location it is not glitzy and loaded with electronics, but for a quiet stay in a fabulous birding location with amazing birds coming to their feeders, this can not be beat. We stayed in Casita #10, which had a nice view...

We stayed in casita #2. It had a nice view of the stream below. However, the next casita had a little deck where one could sit and look at the feeders (#4). The hummingbirds were still present, although it was pretty late in the season. I would like to see numbers put on the hummingbird feeders the way they are...
