Nice food - friday night is fish night. Not overpriced. Good beer. Friendly staff. What more do you want from a pub? I'm continuing this review because Trip Advisor won't accept reviews of less than 200 words. Why use 200 words when you can say what you want to say in less??

Friendly welcome with a good hot meal served by very nice lady cook. Bedroom very basic, bathroom door falling off and very thin curtains, but comfortable bed. Bar music turned off at midnight. Breakfast - no sign of the usual fruit juice, cereals etc, straight to cooked full English. Sadly soft furnishings in bar badly worn out Back up steep...

Had a twin room and breakfast. It's basic but clean and comfortable, friendly Landlord, amazing breakfast. For the money good value and if in the area again, I would book again. Lovely area, scenic, some of the country lanes are a bit scary, especially if you meet a car coming the other way.

I stayed here with my partner before going to Glastonbury. The staff were welcoming and friendly, giving us advice for local amenities and catered to my vegetarian diet without hesitance. Free parking is a bonus with plenty of space. The rooms were clean and I had a great night sleep. Would definitely come back again!

Great find in friendly village with very welcoming hosts, and they accept dogs - very happy with this. The bed was very comfy and the room was furthest from the pub and was nice and quiet (except for other guests coming back at 3am one night and waking everyone up) . Easy to find and excellent value for money. Breakfast...

Stayed for 2 nights as I had a wedding to get to at Cadbury Court (4 min walk) Lovely staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Even put some food on for me when I got there. Thanks again, the breakfasts sorted me out too.

We called in here on the off chance whilst on a Classic car run and were very impressed. We were made very welcome as soon as we entered and the food was produced very quickly and tasted great. There were several locals there which sometimes leads to a slightly frosty reception for strangers but not here. We certainly intend to...

This is a welcoming village pub, where the team are working hard to rebuild the business. It is clearly the centre of the local community. We were made very welcome. It is extremely convenient for North Cadbury Court, a few minutes' walk away, and is very quiet. The accommodation is tired - we were told that a refurb is planned,...

Very warm friendly welcome during our 2 night stay. Virtually on the doorstep of N Cadbury Hall and pretty rural location. Cracking English breakfast and evening meal and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to family and friends as a good base to explore the area.

Stayed there for three nights recently, John and Gemma are working very hard to regain the reputation of this great village Pub, it's got good facilities, pool, darts and a skittles Alley. There's a large Beer garden with a nice pond, it's a great place to stay, good area for walking, very close to Glastonbury, Wells, Stone Henge, Avebury Stone...
