I and my family and friends have been customers of the Beeches Hotel for several years. However, just before Christmas we were publicly humiliated by an assistant/manager named Chris. He accused by brother and I, of failing to pay for our food and drinks a couple of days prior, the conversation was made in full view and earshot of customers and staff in the bar and restaurant. This accusation was soon dispelled by revealing payment had been made by showing the amount paid on our banking app. No apology was offered or given by the staff member who had accused us of theft. A subsequent letter of complaint went unanswered by the management. Defamation of character is the oral communication of a false statement that unjustly harms a persons reputation, so if you wish to be abused and embarrassed in this way, the Beeches Hotel is highly recommended. We, and our family, friends, and business associates will now boycott this establishment. Appalling customer services. Top tip, keep your receipt, you have been warned.

I had booked dinner for me and 34 guests for my 30th birthday. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for Chris and Taygan specifically. There were lots of little touches that were really appreciated things like a personalised sign for my birthday, partitioned off part of the restaurant for my party etc. i rang and emailed many many times with various requests questions and queries and every time nothing was too much trouble and it was exactly as I had asked. The food.. oh my god the food. There was absolutely nothing I could fault with the food it was absolutely gorgeous, huge portions, lovely presentation, flavoursome, hot and excellent value for money. Compliments to the chef. Not 1 complaint from any of the 35 guests about any of the 3 courses everyone commented on how nice the food was. We were told everything was homemade and you could definitely tell! The food came out fast and in a timely fashion (not too much time between courses etc) All in all an absolutely amazing experience and the beeches made my 30th birthday. Thankyou so much Chris and team!

My husband and I checked in for an overnight break, the main attraction being the spa. We arrived and first impressions were very good, nice deco and clean. We hadn’t booked breakfast so I asked if we could and we were asked to pay for it in advance. I was a bit surprised there was no offer to put all expenses on the room as we also had a booking for dinner. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious, couple of suggestions, it would have been nice to have the radiator switched on before we arrived as our room was really cold. We decided to go to the spa while it warmed up, this is what I had been most looking forward to but was very disappointed. On the positive side everything was lovely and clean, however the pool was cold, the wood in the sauna was boiling hot, even sitting on the towel. The main issue was there were no loungers or chairs to sit and relax so after 15 mins of jacuzzi we left - for this reason alone unfortunately I wouldn’t come back as I expected to be able to enjoy the pool, read my book and rest. I was told there were no chairs because of COVID which made no sense ! Realistically there was no room for any loungers. Back to a positive, Dinner was lovely, everything was fresh and hot, portions were generous and prices reasonable. Breakfast was nice but a bit limited. Overall I felt it was good value for money, I was just disappointed with the spa experience, if you aren’t bothered by the spa this hotel is a good place to stay and eat.

A few days before the visit I booked a table for lunch at 12:45 On the way to the hotel I was held up in traffic so phoned ahead at 12:30 to say I would be approx 30 mins late. The response was excellent saying that would not be a problem and they would hold my table and thanked me for my call. When we arrived at 13:15 clearly our table had been given away. The lady who was trying to find a table for us asked the manager to open up another area of tables. He refused and told her to sit us in what I would describe as a meeting room. She clearly was embarrassed and not once did the flustered looking manager come over to apologise. Service from the staff and the food was very good. After the meal I paid for the food at the bar collected coats and left. Outside the hotel the manager then opened the door and shouted at us to see if we had paid making us all feel uncomfortable especially with others around. I said I had. And yet again no apology. Absolutely shocking.

Stayed at the hotel for my wife’s birthday and the hotel was fantastic. Recently refurbished and to a very nice standard. The bed itself was massive and very comfortable. Definitely go back to stay again in the future.
