We've waited for 30 minutes until staff will finish their lunch (as opposed to 15, which they announced). When the waiter finally came, he said that only selected dishes from menu are available (it didn't include stifado, which we came for).

We stayed here two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The room has everything you need and is right next to the beach. We were made feel very welcome by all the staff. Breakfast basic but perfect for the price and fresh. The food in the restaurant was amongst the best we had in Crete. Delicious! Go with what...

Nice and clean room. Excellent view on sea from balcony. Very nice and friendly people. Best place of our trip on Crete! Agia Roumeli has more to offer than being the end of the Samaria gorge. Beach is top, the walk to Loutro is a 4,5 hour challenge!

This is only for the restaurant, we didn't stay in the rooms. The staff were all friendly and helpful, you do feel like you're being ushered in off of the streets a bit, but the food was just microwaved leftovers. The only fresh part of the meal were the french fries which in fairness, were probably some of the best...

The place is a tourist trap that lives thanks to the wonderful gorge of Agia Roumeli but this tavern in particular is really to be avoided despite the rooms are average and the staff friendly, the kitchen is a disaster. the lamb smelled and we have given almost anything to a beautiful and hungry cat that ran between the tables;...

If we are in Agia Roumeli there is no doubt: the only choice is Faragi. They have nice rooms, nice food, special types of beer (please ask for it). We were always warmly welcome by Nektarios and the staff. You should not miss this place: it is quite centrally located (next to the ferryboat ticket boot).
