There is no doubt that the eco-lodge has beautiful views of the jungle and Concepcion Volcano and it is very peaceful and quite here, but it just didn't live up to our expectations. First of all, it is very remote. They offer to arrange lots of activities but the travel cost to reach these is around $40-$50. Considering a local...

Honestly I don't understand the overall 4/5 stars review. This place has potential but a lot of work to do or it should definitively down size the price. First of all, it's a big travel to get there. And when the bus drops you off down the main road, it's still 35 min to walk up hill with your bags...

It's a beautiful lodge in a great location with well designed sustainable systems. It's well worth your time and effort to get above the noise and chaos in the beach towns to stay here. We walked on trails in the jungle watching blue morphos and other butterflies, assorted birds, monkeys, cool insects, plants and flowers. They have a beautiful garden...

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a nature girl. My idea of roughing it is when room service is late. Totoco Eco-Lodge surpassed my expectations. It is a hidden gem in the jungle with spectacular views. The food is delicious and the large great room/lobby area is cozy (My husband and two teenage girls and I played...

To call this place a lodge is not quite accurate. This amazing location high amid the trees within the coffee plantations, howler monkeys and overlooking the volcano Concepcion in the middle of "nowhere" is nothing short of amazing! The incredible vistas, classy rooms and luxurious towels and coconut soap...daily water in beautiful bottles and wonderful food made this one of...

We adored our time at Totoco. The long journey to this ecolodge is well worth the time if you are looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. The property is stunning and overflowing with tropical flowers and fruit trees. Our room, the standard lodge, was spacious, with a gorgeous view, and a comfortable hammock on the patio. The meals...

All in all, I had a great time. The owner, staff, everyone was especially charming. We stayed in the Naomi Farm Casita. Which is not really Totoco, but a ten minute walk away down the road. That means, there's no internet, no easy access to the pool, or the store, and the worst part is that there's no view. It's...

We stayed here for three nights in November 2016. The views and surroundings are jaw-dropping. The layout of the cabanas and main lodge is thoughtful and serene. All of the staff were warm, welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed without being invasive or pushy. It was the sort of relaxed luxury that...

This is a remote property on a pretty much undeveloped island, mainly frequented by backpackers. They take their Eco credentials very seriously right down to the compost toilets which are not as bad as one might imagine! The views are spectacular wherever you are and we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the hammock on our spacious terrace with volcano views. The...

The location of the eco lodge is beautiful with views of the volcano and surrounding countryside. The service was excellent, everyone friendly and helpful, especially Eric the bartender. The food was fresh and well prepared. What puts this lodge out of the 4 or 5 star category are the common areas and the pool. The pool especially was a disappointment....
