This hotel is given a special mention in it's travel book on Belgium. It is a fabulous place to stay. We enjoyed a two day break here and can't wait to come back! The family who own it were very welcoming, particularly the daughter, who could not do enough for us. The Chateau is amazing as the owner is a...

I travelled and stayed here with my young daughter, the room was old fashioned but large and had everything needed, the staff were all very friendly and the owner especially helpful. We had a great nights sleep, woken only by the sound of birds and breakfast was very traditional but tasty. The owner took us on a short tour of...

The hotel was beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. They made you feel like at home. The room we had was like 40m2, 4 small beds. It was the last room so we had to take it and move the beds closer, which it's no deal deal. We will come back for sure.

We had booked in for a night at this Hotel before travelling up to Waterloo. Although we arrived before the stated booking in time we were welcomed and had a beautiful room, spacious and cool. The Hotel is really an old Chateau/farmhouse with gardens and decorated in antiques. No restaurant but plenty of places in Phillipville or nearby Couvin. Nice...

What a quaint, charming place. The chateau itself is quite spectacular, the rooms were nicely furnished, the gardens were pretty and well-maintained. Staff were polite and very helpful. It was a nice feeling to poke your head out the window of a morning and watch the llamas go about their business. I felt a bit sad for the wallaby though,...

I was there one night (travelling with Philip C whose review is already published). It was an experience I very nearly cancelled on seeing the accommodation. Seeing wasn't actually the problem - it was the smell that was so bad. A reek of drains and heaven knows what. I feel very sorry for the young and helpful Julien who showed...

The photos on the net made this hotel seem like a pleasant if remote night stop before Dunkirk, upon arriving all was charming in the late afternoon sun, following a long hard day's drive on the wonderful European "green" roads. We had to telephone to gain admittance, a shy put upon young man welcomed us kindly and gave us a...

Set in a semi-rural location just outside of the town of Mariembourg, this is a lovely old building furnished in an appropriate style. The whole place has the feel of a baronial hall. We had a lovely room with an amazing bed and a patio. The staff are great and took us to meet (and feed) the other "residents" -...
