Had I known what I was about to receive for my main course I wouldn't have ordered a starter. The slooooooow cooked ham hock was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and HUGE!! I just couldn't finish it. It would easily serve 2 and I would have been very happy if it were 1/2 the size, that way I would have...

We stayed here with 2 other couples whilst up in Wales for a friends nearby wedding. The staff at the Lowfield were so so friendly - we were even a little early but could check in early without any issues. After a night of partying at the wedding we were a little worse for wear but the staff cooked up...

Myself and my partner booked this as a last minute night away, and it was worth it for the relaxation for the night. I wouldn't recommend really unless you are visiting the area or just want to get away for a night or two. The food was excellent although you better be hungry as the portions were huge! Room was...

I took my wife for a meal . The atmosphere was great, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Every table was candle lit and I loved the log burning fire. My wife is a fussy eater, but she said her gammon meal was the best she had tasted in a long while. Myself, I had the Lowfield mixed grill...

The most recent of many visits here. The food is of a high standard and staff very friendly! Great selection of ales too and all at reasonable prices. Most importantly though, it's great for the kids and dog friendly as well.

We stayed here on a recommendation when visiting friends nearby. Nothing was to much trouble had a couple of very nice real ales on arrival. Rooms are clean and spacious with everything you need. Lounge area with fire at night is very relaxing. Full English for breakfast was huge and all quality ingredients not your normal cheap tinned rubbish. Would...
