We stayed here as basecamp for a wedding in Llangollen, Wales and really enjoyed our stay, Colin and Wendy were extremely helpful and even made breakfast for family members on the Sunday morning. I will definitely stay here again as still have much to explore. Thanks for everything!

We were only here for one night as a stop over for a local wedding. Lovely surroundings and a lovely property Room was more than adequate with a nice touch of a complimentary small bottle of Red and White Wine. The owners were very friendly and helpful, breakfast had a very varied choice and lots of it. Very well cooked.... More

Beautiful old building with lots of character. The welcome was pleasant and friendly. A twin room with plenty of space and very good facilities. The ensuite more than adequate with a shower rather than a bath. Breakfast was freshly made and good quality produce. Added bonus the pub next door sells food which I've heard is very good.

The Old Forge was my base for touring Morton, Sweeny, Oswestry and Llangollen. Wendy and Colin gave me a warm welcome. The bed was so comfortable and the linen spotless. The attention to detail is amazing, with added touches of a bottle of wine and bottled water. The breakfast list covers the traditional English breafast and other treats like smoked... More

Stopped here for 2 nights for convenience when attending a Wurzels gig at a nearby farm venue. Had a large twin room, with shower. There was a mini bottle of white wine in my room, water and chocolates - nice touches. Colin had organised a taxi for me to get to the gig, which was useful. There was also a... More

We've planned just to stop on a way to Wales. But we found there really friendly atmosphere, comfortable room and great breakfast. We've been here like at home. Night in The Old Forge became a good part of our holiday experience.

We stayed at the Old Forge for one night to visit the heritage weekend on the Welshpool Railway but would have loved to stay longer. The rooms were clean and had lots of little extras including small bottles of wine and water. The owners couldn't have been more helpful, they booked us a table at the pub next door (well... More

A very nice place to stay. Colin and Wendy make you feel very much at home. Certainly a big cut above your average B&B. Extras that you don't normally find like a sitting room to relax in with plus a lovely garden and views. There's also a friendly pub next door with some great beers and good food too.

Colin & Wendy made us feel extremely welcome. The rooms were perfect with all the trimmings, tea, coffee biscuits and even a couple of glass size bottles of wine. Breakfast cooked to order and was excellent.
