I am staying here regularly due to work commitments, wow, what a treat! There are three separate rooms to choose from, each with their own 'front door'. My room is a double which is big enough, has comfy bed, good TV, tea / coffee making kit and an ensuite shower room. The price includes breakfast, don't miss that, it's marvellous,... More

Not the first time we've stayed here and as always we were made very welcome. Room was warm & cosy even through a cold February weekend. Breakfast was good and the evening menus tempted us on to the dessert As it was winter there was only one beer available, but it well kept. Will be happy to stay here again.

I booked a table for a family lunch at The White Horse, we felt very welcome and the service was very friendly. There was a good choice of freshly cooked food, very tasty and well presented. We all enjoyed a very pleasant lunch and would highly recommend it to others.

My family were organising a surprise party for my cousin. It was his 80th birthday. Hitcham is about an hour and a half's drive from here and we didn't know the area at all. It was therefore decided to find a local inn for an overnight stay so that we could enjoy a drink to celebrate. Someone found us The... More

We stayed at The White Horse very recently and the welcome by Richard was lovely. He heard our motorbike and came out to open the gates so that we could securely park it. The service by Richard and his colleagues was brilliant. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were good, tasty, local produce, home cooking. The accommodation is... More

We had a lovely break here for our Anniversary, the owners Richard and Ann were most accommodating even when we had to change our dates. Everything was very clean, the food was lovely and plentiful, and the hosts were very welcoming. Even though it was quiet, to us it was the perfect break. Thank you both very much....we will be... What a great find. My wife and I wanted to see Lavenham and explore Suffolk. We stayed four nights but only wish it could have been longer. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the hosts Ann and Richard were very friendly and obliging. We decided to have dinner in the pub every night and it was excellent. Great choice and... More

We stayed for a short break while visiting Suffolk. Both Richard and Ann the proprietor and his wife were most helpful and friendly. The accommodation was well appointed with all you could need for a short break. The meals that are served in the pub,and cooked by chef Richard are to a high standard.

“This place only has three rooms, one single, one twin and one double. If the double room is anything to go by, the others will be spotless, comfortable and warm too. Fabulous and realistically priced.”

“There are only three rooms as covered in my review. They are very similar and are situated in a row behind the main pub building in a converted stable block. Although simple and a little small they are nicely presented and more than adequate for a few nights stay. We enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep with little noise from the nearby road.”
