We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Gorgeous place - felt very regal with carrying our glasses of champagne with us around the gardens. A uniquely peaceful and relaxing setting - fabulous and sophisticated service. High quality food and subtle account taken of my food intolerances. Just a perfect evening meal - ending with coffee in the sitting room in front...

First-class accommodation, cuisine and service add up to a truly wonderful experience. The style is elegant, not over-the-top. The gardens are beautifully maintained and there are great walks from the door. Highly recommended for a special treat.

What a fabulous treat! Just had Sunday lunch which included the option of fireside relaxation before and after a beautiful meal. Save your pennies and book. The food is exquisite, tempting your tastebuds at every bite, the staff are calmly discrete and the ambiance is totally upmarket house guest, I loved it.

Stayed one night at Gravetye. As always, the staff were efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, the bedroom and bathroom immaculate, with everything you could wish for provided, the restaurant excellent and the gardens beautiful in their autumn colours.

My wife and I stayed for one night which included dinner and breakfast. We had a deluxe room which was large with a luxury bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. My only comment on the room was that it was quite warm and difficult to cool. We slept with all windows fully open. The room did, in theory,...

What an absolute treat! We arrived late morning, checked in and found our room was available really early, put on our walking shoes, collected directions for one of the 5 walks from the hotel door and headed out. Bluebell railway, reservoirs and lakes. Back in time fir a good walk around the truly amazing gardens, including the walked kitchen gardens,...

We had a birthday lunch at Gravetye that was outstanding today. I don't know why we hadn't been before, it was just perfect. So many flavours to the food, which the vegetables come from the large walled garden. The grounds are beautiful which is great to walk around after lunch. Yes, it's expensive but everybody needs to treat themselves once...

The food and the ambiance were terrific. The set menu was £33 but the cheapest bottle of wine we could find was £35. Shame - spoilt the experience. Don't understand the pricing logic. I would be interested to hear how the Management explains this.

Really couldn't fault this one. Not quite up there with le Manoir but pretty close. A definite keeper and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Simply quite, quite wonderful. Exquisite rooms, fine dining and really relaxed. Perfect.
