We stayed overnight on the occasion of a wedding, and our first impressions were of a pleasant country manor set in interesting gardens and grounds with beautiful views. The more familiar we became with the hotel and the room the more we noticed the sheer quality which went into every aspect of the accommodation: ample and nearby car parking, a...

Parents 50th Anniversary - just perfect. Lovely food with lots of choices, served by a quality team overseen by a very professional and attentive Restaurant Manager. Wine List is comprehensive and Sommelier knows his stuff. Beautiful House and Gardens kept to a high quality. Not cheap but high quality and is value for money. I do not write many reviews...

This is a truly magical place. The setting is fantastic; the House is beautiful; the food is delicious and the gardens. . . . . Well they are beyond beautiful. I haven't seen such imaginative mixed planting anywhere. No formal regimented beds here but a palette of mixed colour drifting across the gardens. The Walled garden is not just a...

We selected the tasting menu and the accompanying wine flight for our party of 11. The service wonderful and the food exceptional. Our room was double aspect and quite beautiful. Strolling through the beautiful gardens is a delight and it was wonderful to chat to the head gardener about his work. It's clear that a team of committed professionals, whatever...

A wonderful lunch - the set menu was delicious and great value. We enjoyed drinks in the beautiful gardens in the sun and a leisurely walk in the grounds. A stunning setting for a perfect day out with someone special. I'd highly recommend it and only a short trip from London.

My wife's parents 60+ plus wedding anniversary. So to Gravetye for afternoon tea. A stroll in the garden - great planting and a marvelous selection of plants, mostly in flower. Then tea - wide selection of teas, all brought in individual pots and a three tier stand of sandwiches ( plus a delicious sausage roll ), scones with lots of...

Visited the restaurant only so cannot comment on the hotel. The restaurant within the hotel is open to non residents and has a lovely location, amazing food but slooooooooow service - 2 3/4 hours for lunch. Really?! Had to leave without the desert at 2.45 having arrived for a 3 course lunch at 12.10

We spent one night here in a very comfortable room. The staff could not have been better, nothing was too much trouble for them. The dinner however was in my opinion quite poor. We were on a Sunday night special, which included one nights bed, breakfast and evening meal. The meal was the basic dinner,no choice , or to upgrade...
