We have stayed here several times over the last few years - a regular treat to incorporate the theatre at Stratford upon Avon. However after extensive refurbishment to extend and modernise The Bell has lost some of the charm and atmosphere we loved. The ladies could not have been more helpful (and both visiting couples had problems in their rooms...

Firstly may I say that we are really sorry that you were disappointed and sorry to hear that you will not be coming back. By way of explanation, the rooms were not all full on Friday when you stayed. We did offer to upgrade you to a suite but this was declined and you opted to stay in your room?...

We had an excellent meal in celebration of my brother's 60th birthday. The menu was extensive with something to suit all tastes, and the portions were generous. The restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly and had a good knowledge of the food they were serving. All the tables were taken in the restaurant, and there was also a wedding...

We do try hard with the menus to cater for as many palates as possible and so glad we achieved this, its always a good sign when guests want several dishes on the menu! We wanted to stay somewhere stylish with good food and this was perfect. The room was compact but comfortable and clean. Our evening meal was great and the porridge at breakfast seriously tasty. There are also footpaths out of the village if you want to walk off your breakfast.

Visited this Pub for the third time in recent months. Had a great sandwich and pint on the 1st visit, with fresh bread and great beer. 2nd visit a few weeks later was not so good, as the bread was dry and not as fresh, but the beer was great again. We decided to give it another try on Monday...

Stayed here for 2 days and got a last minute deal. There are different rooms at different price. We stayed at the Elmdon which is kind of small, the basin is inside the closet which is a bit weird. Nevertheless, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We moved to the Covent Garden next day - a lot more...

Many thanks for your feedback. From the nine luxury and individual rooms, Elmdon is lovely and is in "collection one" which reflects the size of the room, it is one of the smaller ones and therefore cheaper. You're quite right that Covent Garden is more spacious and therefore slightly more expensive, and we're delighted that you enjoyed this room and...

The Bell Inn is a special find in the heart of Warwickshire! Our room was really lovely - décor was chic and it was very clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The main area of the Inn has lovely nooks and crannies to sit in and the dining room was beautifully light and airy. Our meal was excellent - really...

Arrived on a Friday, and were shown our rooms by a very welcoming host. The rooms were beautiful, and decorated very tastefully, as well as being very clean. The outside space was a really nice terrace with a lot of seating. We had dinner, which was absolutely delicious, prepared amazingly (but one has to book in advance) and with many...

Thank you so much. We are delighted that you enjoyed, and appreciate, what we have on offer. We do try to cater for everyone (although we do appreciate that we can't please everyone) and offer a good, varied, menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our food is cooked fresh to order and use high quality produce for the dishes. We...

Have known The Bell casually for many years but recently seen it refurbished now it I is amazing, Fine dining at 'normal' prices . Very obliging staff. Decor is a welcome change from usual boring refurbished brewery type styles. Great quality without pretention. Thank you so much for your comments and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. Noted with regards to the loos! As an eighteenth century building, we are sure you will appreciate, the limited scope for expansion/alteration and whilst the cubilcles are not overly spacious by any means, they are of a standard size. We have done,...

We loved our stay this weekend in the really quirky boutique style b&b. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier to get ready for the wedding we was attending that day. Could not of been more happy with the room and service and what a stunning place. Full English breakfast was great too :)

We found The Bell in Frommer's guide to England and Wales. The review sounded quite appealing, so we booked a stay last May. What a find! Everything about The Bell is top notch. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The interior of this award winning 18th century coaching inn successfully combines traditional and modern; a truly eclectic mix. The warm and welcoming bar has flag stone floors, low beams, open fires and candlelit tables. The well stocked bar ensures you can enjoy a host of traditional real ales including The Bell’s own Alscot Ale, guest beers and carefully selected wines, spirits and cocktails. Fresh morning coffee, brunch and afternoon tea are all favourites in this cosy area. The restaurant is more contemporary and oozes charm; it is attractive and vibrant with a buzzing atmosphere. The well designed individual areas lend themselves well to private dining, meetings and parties. Food is served in the bar, restaurant and spacious outdoor areas and the menu and daily specials change to accommodate the abundant seasonal and local produce. The spacious country pub garden with adjoining riverside meadow is ideal for families whilst the beautifully landscaped courtyard garden is a perfectly sophisticated area.
