Alex and Jeff are very welcoming and friendly. Greeted with complimentary coffee with homemade scones and jam which were delicious. Our room was immaculately clean and beautiful. Extra little touches such as complimentary toiletries (Bodyshop) and tea/coffee and biscuits/miniature chocolates (Ringtons) in the room. We were also offered a glass of wine or beer whilst we settled in our room...

This has become our stopover on our fishing trips up to the Scottih Highlands. As usual, we received a warm welcome from Jeff and Alex with tea and scones on the table within minutes. They are wonderful hosts and run a first class B& B. The rooms are spotless, spacious and peaceful. Everything has been thought through, down to torches...

We received excellent service from our hosts Alex and Jeff, there was always one of them on hand if you needed anything. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Small village location, as far as we could see the only place to eat was the local pub.

Thank you for your kind review. There are two places to eat in the village, Mrs Millers and The Black Swan, both within walking distance and four pubs and two restaurants within a 4 mile radius of Laurel House.

During our recent travels through the UK we found this lovely village on the edge of the Lake District, out in the countryside yet close to the M6. Our hosts made us very welcome, booked us in for an evening meal at the local pub and were very considerate of our need to leave early to get to Glasgow airport....
