Visiting family in the area, so booked the White Horse due to it's location Lovely old Inn, with ample parking and a nice big garden It was quite busy on all three of the nights that we stayed, and it's easy to see why, as the food was delicious and the staff couldn't have been more friendly or attentive It'll definitely be our preferred base for future visits

On arrival, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We sat in the garden, and it is well maintained, the tables are nicely spaced and the staff were efficient in coming to us. We ordered a terrains and assorted breads, olives as a starter. The portion was bigger than we expected and one would have been enough for us to share. We still ate it all as it was delicious. For main we had venison bacon salad & trout salad. Both were superb, I often feel disappointed with salads when I eat out… these were spot on. We don’t live in the area, but we will definitely be back. Planning on taking my in-laws when the come to visit.

Stopped for a meal on the way back from Devon to London with our puppy. Really easy to get off the road, sufficient parking, and a footpath nearby to take doggy for a little walk. Dog: staff were l besotted with our puppy, there were dog bowls of water around, and she loved sniffing around - apparently they get a lot of dogs. Food: We had the spiced parsnip soup, side salad, veggie sausages mash and veg. It was all simple, well cooked, and tasty. Staff: delightful, really quick when we asked for the bill while we were still eating because we had to get back on the road, and even wished us a safe drive. We will likely make stopping there part of our routine now.

Went for an end of GCSE celebration. It was my first visit and the team exceeded my expectations. All COVID restrictions had been followed and signposted to make the group feel safe. Friendly staff who were very attentive. Food was delicious and catered well for the gluten free person in our group. Best pub chips ever! Will definitely return.
