My daughter and I stayed overnight in a twin room. It was not en-suite so had to go out of our room to use the facilities. I did not pack a dressing gown. The room was OK, bedspreads did not look very clean, but the bedding itself was. The couple managing the place were standing in while the managers were on holiday. They were both very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. We had an evening meal, which was good value and very nice. Breakfast was included and was also very good. I think with a little TLC it could be a very good place to stay.

Stayed over for one night, had a meal which was good,Had a good pint of beer A nice place to stay. The reason we stayed was because we broke up our journey as we where going on holiday to Porthcawl from Stockport over 200 miles .

Stopped here on a Tuesday night, very busy in the dining area but excellent food (not frozen fries but home cut) and excellent service by all staff present. Good choice of ales available too. Great breakfast and quick service. My room was above the kitchen and as somebody else commented, there was an extractor fan running, but as they only serve food until 9pm I didn't find this an issue. If I'm working in this area again and need a stopover I'll certainly use it again.

Had a very good mid-week stopover at this pub.eatery. Very nice room and decor, nice radiator for cold wet night, (separate bathroom for room over landing in our case), plenty of choice for meals, staff very helpful. easy going atmosphere and very good choice for breakfast in pleasant room.. Parking adjacent to property - comfort, food and personal service. Dont know about weekends but would certainly recommend for mid week.

The pub is close to a main road and garage, so there was some traffic noise. I was staying with my 11 year old daughter and had booked the twin en suite for 3 nights, but could only stay for one because the room had a huge extractor funnel inches from the bedroom window; it was also quite warm in there but of course, we couldn't open the window because of the smell and the noise from the funnel. Unfortunately, there was also noise from the kitchen below until late in the evening which also started up early in the morning. The room needs updating and repairing (peeling covering on loo seat, broken window and socket coming off the wall). However, the staff were friendly and efficient and breakfast was of quite a good quality, with excellent portion sizes. The publican accepted my grumble with good grace, although I would not be able to recommend the inn to anyone that I wanted to remain on friendly terms with.

We stayed here overnight with friends. We loved it was so close to Hereford (we were planning to visit the Cathedral; see the Mappe Mundi the next day and watch the Armed Forces Day celebrations). We were able to relax and have a drink and an excellent meal on arrival in friendly and welcoming surroundings.

We stayed at the Three Horseshoes for 4 nights . The rooms was wonderful, comfortable bed, clean and tidy staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was checked and topped up with tea coffee etc and clean towels daily if necessary. Good breakfast in the morning which kept us going all day until our evening meal. Only ate out once as couldnt find anywhere else as nice to have an evening meal. Menu here is very good, had the liver and bacon one night which I can definately recommend. All in all an excellant experience and will definately return as in a great position with lots to do in surrounding areas. Didnt mean to click the rating for fitness centre as there isnt one ! whoops

A great old pub with good food and friendly bar staff. Good food choice and reasonable prices. My steak was the best I've had in a long while. Lovely old building. We didn't stay overnight,as we were visiting my brother who lives nearby so just stayed for a meal. Wouldn't travel out from Hereford specially though.

Just south of Hereford 100 yds off A465-still in the countryside ,good car park ,historical looking, Elizabethan inside totally wood, beams -good warmth hits you as you open the door,2 smiling staff behind bar,12.30 pm pretty empty-an October Tuesday-just had a feeling it would fill up,got quite busy, pub lunches mainly, with a few real locals up the other end of the bar! Good menu, good service for a lunch ,3 females looked to include the owner or manager, good attention and service.Clean. Thought I d push the boat-OK fish and chips again-very nice ,can cook, and can cook what appeared to be real chips-could be wrong.Friend had steak and chips/salad-lovely piece of steak.Very nice sweet, both had a cheesecake, one with ice cream one with cream.Coffee good, perhaps a bit cold.I like places I can eat and watch the car in the car park cos of my dog!And if he only knew I d got a doggy bag and left at the Inn.Price not bad.Worth it.

Driving by on a Sunday lunchtime we noted a packed car park and, reckoning this was a good sign, we decided to see if we could get a table. Big mistake! Tough, bloody, beef was accompanied by under-cooked frozen vegetables, including pallid roast potatoes. We are talking school dinners here. All three of us left about 80% of our meal. How the so-called 'chef' can live with himself/herself I have no idea. The waitress who cleared our plates away must have been used to this because she didn't even comment. Trust me, I'm not exaggerating - it was truly awful. What I find so depressing is that the place was absolutely packed. Why didn't anyone else notice?
