The accommodation was clean and spacious, our hosts were welcoming and friendly, the meals were fantastic and all for a very reasonable price. We spent three nights here touring on our motorcycles, which were garaged overnight. If you don't stay at the guesthouse, do eat in the restaurant, it's very very good!

We stayed at Donamaria'ko Benta one night in our way from Leon to France. We were looking for a quiet night's sleep and a dinner and breakfast, and we were very, very impressed by the meals. The two sisters who run this place go all out with fresh local ingredients, prepared with a creative, loving touch. Dinner is served in...

We stayed here for the night en route from South of Valencia to Blighty after an easy 6 hour drive all on dual carriageway. It was ideal in every way. Only about forty minutes from the border with France. The room was very comfortably furnished with twin beds. With a small eating area on the ground floor equipped with an honesty...

We stayed 2 nights here. a charming small hotel in a lovely spot in Navarra. It's a great value with the media pension-- the dinner both nights was really excellent, and the service is accomodating and friendly. I highly recommend a walk in the Embalses de Leurtza nearby, as well.

A friendly, clean and very attractive family run B & B. The B & B offers half board with a four course evening meal and a very pleasant breakfast all served in the B&B dining room. You can help yourself to wine and bear or make a coffee when you arrive and pay later, sit in the garden and relax....

I decided to come out of our way to stay the night here and am I glad we did! I just wish we were here for more nights. This is a family concern and have they got it right! In the adjacent equally lovely building is their restaurant. Now last night we dined in TripAdvisors number one rated restaurant in...

We had an enjoyable couple of nights in this hotel on our way down to the middle of Spain. The room was pleasant and had everything we needed, the breakfasts lovely, and very traditional. The owner was very helpful, if a little stern, and there was plenty of room to sit outside with our dogs (they were allowed in the...

This is at least the fourth time we have stayed in this hotel. The restaurant is first class (unfortunately this time it was closed because it was a Sunday evening but we were directed to a super posada just ten minutes stroll away). We always get a warm welcome. The rooms are spotless; area very quiet and breakfast adequate. We...

Delightful family owned enterprise whereby mama looks after guests in the hotel and daughters reign in the kitchen and front of house. Everything was immaculate:characterful and comfortable rooms with ensuite showers and cosy sitting room to relax in after walking in glorious mountain scenery. Memorable meals beautifully prepared using best ingredients. A bucolic garden leading down to the stream.Perfect! So...

We had a most enjoyable three night stay in this beautiful part of the Spanish Basque country. The little hotel and accompanying restaurant are run by two generations of a Basque family, mother Elizabet and daughters Lorea and Hazaiea. They run them with enthusiasm and close attention to their guests requirements. Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Luzuriaga-Badiola family settled in Donamaria with a plan:To realise the dream of living in the country, specifically in Navarra. To restore a beautiful 19th-century stone house and open its doors to people who wish to eat and stay there. Starting with the restaurant, the following year they opened the small hotel in the adjoining house and, in this way, the project came to be known as Donamariako Benta, a rural hostel with a restaurant.Imanol and Elixabete created this way of life and now guide their daughters, who witnessed the whole process. This no doubt influenced them to obtain academic qualificationsLorea, who has a degree in tourism, serves guests in the dining area of the restaurant in a professional and warm manner, making tourists and regular clients feel more comfortable during their stay. She speaks 3 languages.Haizea has a diploma in cookery from Luis Irizar and, after working at various restaurants on the mainland, manages the restaurant in a wise and enthusiastic manner. ... more   less
