Had a lovely weekend at Meeniyan Motel. New owners are very welcoming, room very comfy and opened out onto spacious lawns and pretty garden. Right next to the pub and gorgeous main street shops and cafes. Didn’t have time for a bike ride on the rail trail this time but great to know the motel has bikes available for guests. Super relaxing place to stay!
This is very much a budget motel and it provides exactly what a budget motel should - a bed, a shower and a cup of tea or coffee. The outdoors and indoors could both really use a bit of a spruce up if it wants to go for anything more than the most budget of markets, but it does it’s own thing just fine. Just don’t ask it to be an upmarket place when it clearly isn’t. And no, it’s not “cheap” but it does have a good location on the Main Street of Meeniyan with lots of great eateries nearby and plenty of art and the rail trail. For a one night “somewhere to sleep” it does the job just fine and the welcome was warm and helpful when we checked in.
Very friendly staff. Motel nothing special but room clean and comfortable. Good shower. Great location, walking distance up street to local shops and next door to pub. Very quiet, no traffic noise. Outside is a bit messy.
Great location, close to the pub, rooms are comfy, everything is here, shower and bathroom are good with great water pressure. Could do with a tidy outside, but good value for the location..bookings were easy and check was seamless. Location is the key.
On opening door, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke. Linen on bed smelt of cigarette smoke. Otherwise room clean. Newish decent size bar fridge. Suggest turn off unless using as noisy every hour when motor runs. Room light switch on left on entrance to room behind microwave. Large bathroom Liquid soap , shampoo and conditioner in shower. Only turn the cold tap slightly to adjust temperature otherwise you have a cold shower. Towels ok. But thin. Kids size spa bath. Bed was comfortable and pillows as expected in motels. Very old and needs rebuilding or major Reno. Great location in Main Street of town next to pub but very close to main road in town so can hear traffic noise. Thin curtains with no blockout and window above door with no curtain. Cost $120 for the night ,queen size bed? Plus a single in room, table and 2 chairs, toaster and microwave, glasses and cups plus utensils. Airconditioner Won’t be returning. …
The meals were absolutely delicious, we had chicken parmigiana, 2 x flake and nasi Goreng with prawns . The meals were hot at large. Congratulations to Blake their Chief. It’s hard to get a standard Old fashioned Pub Meal but we could there. A+
room 12, I had to clean toilet properly before I could use it, there were pubic hairs on the basin. I received flea bites. There was d dead flea on the basin one morning. Very old motel, and it smelt disgusting. The lady running the place needed to upgrade her appearance. Sorry to be so cruel, but they need to lift their game.
When checking into the motel we had initially booked one room for 2 adults and 2 kids. On arriving we were upgraded to the family suite for no extra charge. This was awesome! The rooms were clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend The Meeniyan Motel. Close to the local pub that served excellent meals that were very well priced. Close to the supermarket. Will definitely be staying here again.
This would have to be the worst Motel I have ever stayed in. Tiny room, no bench or table. Smell of mould. Heater rattled so much that it was better to leave it turned off. TV would only work sometimes. Staying here was not a pleasant experience and the tariff was exorbitant considering the quality of the facility. Not recommended.
Stayed one night in august.was clean and warm.freindly staff.nice restaurants and bakerys close by which includes the railtrail. Many attractions including wilsons prom close by. Would l stay again...yes
