I stayed a number of times at the Old Stone Trough recently with a colleague and found the service and the attitude of the team there incredible. Friendly, helpful and always looking to be of use. My colleague and I agreed we had never had service like it especially as it always came with a smile. The team here should...

Stayed for business reasons for one night, mainly due to location close to where I needed to be in Colne. The Old Stone Trough is well priced and there's little to compete with it in the area, nicely situated with good parking. Service and bar food was excellent, breakfast ditto and served with a smile by a lovely young lady....

Stayed here with friends for a wedding recently, the hotel could do with a refurb but all in all everything is serviceable. Where this place excels is in its wonderful staff, from the girl on reception , manager Gavin and our new best friend James the night porter who couldnt do enough for us and kept the drinks flowing until...

Booked this venue for a weekend away exploring the area. Greeted at bar by friendly staff - there were a lot of them as there was a wedding party in - who directed us to our room. Booked junior executive suite which was in a separate annex, room was spacious & clean with a good bathroom. The bed was to...

If you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a couple of nights, you can't beat the Old Stone Trough. Go for the rooms in the annex and you're in for a treat. Our only real disappointment was that ours looked out into the car park, rather than to the landscape behind. We were locked out twice by...

Our room was in a separate building and had recently been refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee provided along with iron and ironing board. Good size bathroom with bath/shower. The star feature of this place is the staff - friendly, full of good advice and couldn't have done more to meet our needs. The manager took a personal...

We booked this as a last minute stop off and as we pulled up we contemplated not even going in! The outside is very scruffy and run down nothing like the image, windows needed painting, the grounds and gardens were a mess and there was rubbish all over, the grass was overgrown and it was certainly a case of first...

Room location was in the separate building , we were given a helping hand with luggage to the room and all facilities explained fully in a very friendly manner. Rooms appear to have been fairly recently updated. Comfortable and with just the right amount of in-room facilities. What makes this hotel outstanding , is the top level of service provided...

Room wonderful with a bathroom bigger than some rooms we have stayed in Meal good but only available in the bar area. Spoilt by television for the bar. Slept well, breakfast good and easy check out.
