A great nights stay with a decent breakfast , local gluten free sausages , ciabbata bread, tea, toast cereal fruit all for 150 dollars . There is a vast collection of police stuff from around the world patrol cars, bikes in a 1920's Public Trust building. The owners are charming and the showers are great. It is a must if...

I stayed here for 1 night while away for work and will be back again on holiday, The rooms & communal spaces are stunning, well maintained and very clean. The hosts are attentive, informative and very keen to make sure the stay is as comfortable as possible. Downstairs is a excellent museum with extremely scarce exhibits and a comprehensive badge...

The location is in the center and close to the Intercity bus stop. I stayed five nights at the downstairs suite because it has a private bathroom. There is also a very interesting international police museum downstairs and their home upstairs, with guestrooms, is very smart. The breakfast was excellent and according to what I wanted e.g. gouda cheese. Maureen...

4 •••• for the accommodation plus one • for the little bit extra - artistic and very comfortable furnishings and decor. Police museum is definitely worth looking through. Maureen and Bruce are excellent hosts - a memorable mix of B&B hospitality and privacy.

Always good to know we are striking the right chords for people looking for that bit of difference and quality. Especially for the breakfasts as part of the package. Still just NZ$150 a night for a couple all included B&B. Thanks for your kind words

Well, it was a great weekend and all these ladies about the place - they loved it and we definitely enjoyed their company during their stay. Great to meet such wonderful couple. A pleasure to make your time in Dannevirke that wee bit less traumatic in your families troubled moment. We were also delighted at the response when you viewed our International Police Museum - which is unique in the Southern Hemisphere. We look forward to renewing acquaintance sometime in the future

The Museum Lodge is totally different from anywhere I have ever been. It is like stepping into a whole new world - an ecletic, colourful world where the owners are not afraid to show off their personalities and share their lives with you. It is full of amazing collections of different things - beautiful old china, Indonesian masks, dolls and...

Thanks Angela. We have tried to set the Lodge like a time-warp back to an era of colour, and fun like an old small boutique hotel in Europe, yet with the modern necessities of life. Delighted you enjoyed the stay and hope the breakfast made the leaving that bit harder. We look forward to greeting you again.
