Popped in here for lunch after Hook Norton brewery tour, must confess it wasn't our first choice as we tried The Pear Tree but they stopped serving food by the time we finished, but they recommended this one and I have to say it was absolutely delicious . Had 4 main meals and all of us finished plates, nice pub,...

second visit now and every time that I visit this pub/restaurant, I come away satisfied. I had the pie this time So much so, that I had lunch, then returned later in the evening with the rest of my family for dinner. It was outstanding. The staff are always extremely friendly too. What a great place to visit!

Every time that I visit this pub/restaurant, I come away satisfied. So much so, that I had lunch, then returned later in the evening with the rest of my family for dinner. It was outstanding. The staff are always extremely friendly too. It is also a bonus that we can take our dog along too. What a wonderful place to...

The pub is not the prettiest or best cared for externally, but the welcome is friendly, the beer well kept and the food excellent. The fish and chips were some of the best I have ever eaten, consumed by a warm and inviting log fire. I would certainly recommend this pub.

Stopped in for a late Sunday lunch and were really pleased to find a welcoming pub with good local ales and a delicious roast. We ate in the bar where dogs are welcome. Friendly staff. Roast beef and sticky toffee pudding both highly recommended!

“There are four, I only saw No. 4 in which I stayed but presumably all are of the same high quality. There were workmen outside early in the morning but I never heard them from inside, thus the walls and window 'soundproofed' me from any digging noise that was occurring at the time.”
