The hotel is set in a quiet White Peak village with excellent access to some wonderful walks along the Tissington Trail and Biggin Dale and close to Dovedale and Hartington. We recently stayed for two nights together with our two (retired ex-guide) dogs. Our room was spacious and well furnished with two easy chairs, a very large bed, plenty of...

What a little treasure! Perfectly sized, friendly staff, lovely food and convenient for visiting some lovely places in the Peak District. My husband and I booked a few nights away for our anniversary and planned to do some walking. The hotel struck the perfect balance between indulgence and informality - everyone, guests included - was chatty and welcoming. Our package...

We have just returned from three days at biggin hall, we have always had Sunday lunch whilst we are holidaying in the summer and we decided to treat ourselves to a few days before Christmas to do a bit of shopping as the chatsworth Christmas market is on until the end of November. We were greeted by friendly and attentive...

This is the second time we stayed at Biggin Hall. We were given room 1 as it was on a birthday break. Wow 4 poster bed, huge bath room with walk in shower, large tub and plenty of space. Both rooms are quirky, with all the usual amenities such as phone, TV and plenty of hanging space. Some "interesting" items...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October. The hotel was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and it was excellent with different menus each evening. The hotel is great for walkers or people just wanting to spend a few days relaxing in the heart of the Peak...

We were surprised and delighted with our stay at Biggin Hall. Our room was outside the main hotel in what was classed a dog friendly room and it was charming and seemed to be in the ground floor of a former cottage. (Next time we will bring our dog). Nice touches were the fridge and fresh milk in the room....

Biggin Hall has very good food although some of our party thought breakfast was a little chaotic sometimes. It's a buffet style but one can order smoked haddock or smoked salmon on top of what is already made. Perhaps one more member of staff would have helped. Dinner with complimentary drinks was wonderful. The roaring fire and comfortable lounges were...

Our stay at Biggin Hall was superb. We stayed in Room 1 which was outstanding. Huge bathroom, four poster bed, great views of the grounds. Dinner included complimentary wine and was delicious. The staff were helpful and polite at all times. I would highly recommend this hotel - yes it's probably more than we would have normally paid for a...

When my sister and I decided that both our families totalling 39 should have a great get-together it was quite a challenge to find a suitable location. We were very fortunate to find Biggin Hall which was absolutely superb for the purpose. Everyone had very comfortable rooms, the food was wonderful and the location delightful. The locality offers many activities...

We have stayed at Biggin Hall a few times and we are never disappointed when we visit. This is a historic building with some other rooms outside of the main building, all of them are more than acceptable. They are very clean and well appointed even with a fridge with fresh milk, what a joy. The rooms can be small...
