One of the best B & B's we have ever stayed in. Our hosts Yvonne and Ed were very warm and made us feel at home right away. Our room was beautifully appointed with a walk out to the full terrace with a great view....More

It is my third time at the Spare Room. The hosts Yvonne and Ed are the most amazing in every way. The rooms, the view on the lake are just wonderful. Ed is extremely helpful with information about the sites to see around the area.

Hi there I have 2 questions - firstly, I was wondering if you could tell me if your bed and breakfast is in walking distance to any restaurants to eat in the evening as we will be travelling by motorbike and would like to leave it behind in the evenings. Secondly, I notice that bed and breakfast homes in Canada tend not to give guests a choice or menu for breakfast - do you ask guests what they would like or do you serve a set breakfast depending on the day we are there? We find this usual as all B&B's in Scotland would give you a menu to choose from each morning or we would pre order our breakfast the night before. Your breakfasts look lovely but when you have been on the road travelling for 4 weeks, it is nice to be able to choose what you fancy for breakfast. Looking forward to hearing from you.
