The shower is very unsafe. At age 68 years old to tumble and floor was a scary experience. My husband came to my assistance as I swirled around in the shower. The shower floor has no grip. It is smooth and slippery. We are here for my brother-in-law’s funeral and if it was possible for us to change hotels, we would have. Too much inconvenience and emotional stress. The Assistant Manager called us on the phone the next morning and said to us that this was ONLY the 2nd time they got a complain about the slippery conditions in the shower. She was very unsympathetic and a matter of fact person. Not sure if she is waiting for a senior to fall and hit their head and die then to take this complaint a little more urgent. She refused to give us her last name. She said all we needed was her first name - Nicky. She sent up a shower mat which we asked for the first night when the accident occurred. The housekeeper who came to our room that night told us all she had to offer are towels to put on the floor. We did and I finished having my shower. Overall, this hotel was a nightmare as a Hilton Honors member. Of course, I’m still bruised from the experience. Totally dissatisfied with Nicky the assistant manager’s handling of this situation. …

Dear June5164, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your recent stay at Home2 Suites. I was very sorry to hear of this unfortunate incident. I hope that you are feeling better. Any surface when wet can be slippery. Shower bars are located in the shower stall for safety precautions. Additionally, all our suites are supplied with terry bath mats and our Room Attendant that night provided you with additional bath mats for the floor. The hotel did purchase a shower mat the next day for your use. I sincerely appreciate your feedback and I am very sorry you were unhappy. Your feedback is important as it is always our goal to provide suites that make our guests smile.

My wife and I were travelling from PEI to Toronto, and stopped for the night in Montreal. From the second we walked in the door, the staff were very friendly and warm. They gave us a bowl and goodie bag for each of our pets, and checked us in quickly and resolved our digital key issue and wished us well for the evening. The room was clean, and well appointed. They let our delivery driver in to bring us our food. One of my favourite parts is that the elevator requires your room key to operate so not everybody can just get in. We were given access to the underground parking which was a nice bonus. The breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold options! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Property located next to a very busy/noisy roadway and old shopping mall. Every room is exposed to unending road noise and the area is not walkable. The building/rooms are fresh, new, and well secured from the neighborhood. Service and breakfast were great. No convenient access to healthy dinner food. Hotel frozen dinners are sugar and sodium. Great property if it were located somewhere quiet and near restaurants.

The concept of the hotel is good. The rooms are modern, spacious and well maintained. On the other hand, if you have the misfortune to have one of the rooms near Highway 40, your night will be miserable.

Highway noise! Building and window quality is so poor, like sleeping on highway. Hotel is so aware, there is a non-functioning white noise machine on the night table, with ear plugs with a cheezy marketing pitch white noise will improve your sleep. Avoid .

Dear ericlA3440KB, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I'm sorry to see that the noise from the highway had a negative impact on your stay with us. Our hotel does not have a typical thru-the-wall heating/cooling unit also known as a PTAC in hotel-speak. We made the decision to install a much more energy efficient and quiet HVAC system much like 4 and 5 star hotels. Unfortunately, the lack of white noise in the rooms can cause some guests to notice the outdoor noise more than others. Extremely light sleepers have told us that they are not bothered by this noise, but then again every ear is unique. Please accept our sincerest apologies for failing to meet your expectations. We stayed in July 2022 with my parents and small children. Excellent staff, excellent hotel, excellent perks. Nice hot breakfast, they have a gym, pool and laundry services for a small price. Close to the Oratory of St. Joseph and Old Montreal is about 20 mins away. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future.

Very well maintained clean rooms and wonderful front desk staff service. The rooms were spacious with a queen bed and a sofa bed that’d easily sleep for. Has a full fledged kitchenette if you want to cook stuff. Linen, towels were clean. Front desk were very courteous and accommodating of all needs

These people care more about taking your money than helping people in unfortunate circumstances. I had to cancel a reservation at last minute because of COVID and they wouldn’t waive the reservation penalty. First time that’s happened at any Hilton property (and I’m a Diamond member). They’ve lost far more from my future business than the one nights money they got. If you have a choice, book somewhere else and show these types of properties what’s more important. It was purely the managers decision and she chose the quick dollar.

I understand the frustration of being charged for a stay that you could not attend. Our cancelation policy is 24 hours, shortened from 48 hours pre-pandemic, and is clearly stated in the reservation process. While we do make exceptions on occasion, when we are informed late in the evening the arrival date we no longer have the opportunity to resell the room. The hotel is good the people working there are very friendly the free parking underground was great. My complaint is about the room the sofa bed is terrible even for kids there should be 2 queen beds also the mattresses were terrible the worst i have ever slept on the noise from the trafic on the road at night was coming into the room and who ever came up with the sliding door for the washroom should be fired you can see in to the washroom through the sides not good when you have kids with you. The only reason we stayed there was the kitchenette please try to fix these things. Ps on the 2nd night the toilet chain broke which i had to fix in the middle of the night took 30 minutes.

I'm sorry to hear that the mattress of the sofa bed was not to your liking. As we cater to mostly business clientele, the choice was made to only have rooms with one bed as this would provide more living space. Due to being right off the highway, we often get comments regarding the traffic noise. We have made steps to reduce this issue by installing white noise machines in all of our rooms.
