We've been going to Limberlost for a number of years - spring, fall and winter - and have stayed at several of the cottages and lodges. We just finished almost a week at Water's Edge and it was spotless when we arrived with everything we could ask for in terms of amenities. There was ABSOLUTELY no sign of any mice...

Seven people - three generations (four adults, three children, plus one dog) spent three nights at Amron Cottage on Lake Solitaire in mid March, 2017. We spent most of our time time ice-skating and playing hockey on the completely frozen lake that had very little snow. We also spent time inside our cottage in front of a fire playing board...

Water's Edge Cottage is always a pleasure to come back to each spring to have a front row seat to watch spring unfold. On this trip we watched the ice disappear from the lake and waterfowl quickly come back. Each year the management of Limberlost work to improve their cottages as well as their network on trails. Since last year...

If you can verify that the cleanliness issues have been fixed by all means go. We rented water's edge cottage, which is a beautiful cottage in an amazing setting. But the cottage was infested by mice and ants, There was mice poop EVERYWHERE, in the beds...on every flat surface you can thing of, kitchen counters, sink, coffee tables, chairs, dining...

Have been renting Buck Lake Lodge almost yearly with family. The property is outstanding and the views and trails are five stars. That being said, the cottage seems to be showing neglect each year we come back. The old owners used to keep it pristine and were very attentive to the guests. Now the last few years we've been back,...

I have to give Limberlost 1 star due to their seriously poor communication. I really wanted to book one of their cottages in October for the weekend and emailed them my interest. They responded once and when I asked a few follow-up questions they just stopped responding...I tried a few times with no luck. It's not much of an experience...

A very special place. Formerly, a famous lodge with hiking, horseback riding, sleigh rides, fishing, tennis, etc., Limberlost is now a wilderness area where you can rent a cabin/cottage. We have rented the Buck Lake cabin in winter and summer. The lakes are pristine (no motor boats), the swimming sublime, great fishing (ice fishing and summertime), canoeing, tranquility, lovely hiking...

I was traveling to Ontario with my 7 yr old son and we were looking for a rustic camping/fishing experience without bringing all our camping gear. After a little research, I decided on Helve Lake Fish Camp in the Limberlost Forest. It was a perfect choice. We were joined by my brother in law and his 14yr old son. Limberlost...

My girlfriends and I have been coming up for 10 years and staying at the Solitaire for a girls weekend. We just love the accommodations and the rustic atmosphere. The property is great for swimming, and safe for long walks. I'll keep coming up for as long as I can! Thanks for the great memories of years past, and looking...
