We stayed three nights in September at Fox Lake B&B. There are already a number of reviews that perfectly describe this home and the hosts, Johny and Rachel (and Rosko!). The house is enormous, and having rented the large Trapper's Room we found that the bed alone was the size of some rooms we have had in the past! The...

The unique characteristic that really distinguishes an excellent B&B is the human factor - the interaction between guests and the host and hostess; their skill and know-how, as well as the amenity. Our two-day visit to the lovely home of Johnny and Rachel, which is set in quiet and beautiful Muskoka lake-shore landscape, came via a personal recommendation from another...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Fox Lake B&B from September 4th to 6th in The Trappers Room. WE LOVED IT! Here are some of the highlights. The Room: Massive room with very eclectic decor which is completely charming and very suitable to Huntsville and the cottage/lake lifestyle. The room is in Rachel and Johny's walk out basement with gorgeous...

We were the only couple at the B and B, it does have 2 rooms, you will want to rent the Trappers Room as it has the King size bed and it's own bathroom. I don't believe that both of the rooms would be rented at the same time unless it is for a foursome. The Trappers room is lovely,...

We stayed at the Fox Lake B&B September 28th & 29th, 2014. We were a party of 4 so we had the entire walkout basement to ourselves. The accommodations were clean, warm, welcoming and the décor added a lot of charm and character. The gardens are vast, well kept and full of colour. There was plenty of wildlife to be...

The B&B is located a few miles from the small town of Huntsville, ON. Their location is absolutely great, near the lake and not far from the Algonquin Park. The B&B itself is magnificent ! We got the huge Trappers Room with a separate bathroom in the basement so it's entirely private. The room itself it sooo pretty, the bathroom...

In many ways this is a typical B&B, a bit quirky, but the basics are there. It is best suited to a party requiring two rooms. Both available rooms are in the walkout basement and there is only one bathroom on that floor ( a good sized one ---suitable for sharing ). Otherwise you have to "trespass" on the owners...

We have been to Fox Lake twice in the past and had great service and accommodations. Last year when we left, we booked the same 2 night long weekend for this year again. We called the hostess to confirm our upcoming stay and she informed us that we are welcome to come but they would be hosting a neighbourhood party...

Fox Lake B&B is a perfect place either for a relaxed stay or to use it as a base for exploring the area as we did this October`s long weekend. Rachel & Johny are the most incredible hosts. Since the very moment we arrived, it felt more like visiting old friends rather than staying in a B&B. We were there...
