I stayed here with my boyfriend back in August during the tall ships festival. Here is what we liked about our stay: -Check-in was fast, man at front desk was friendly and helpful -Fairly close to downtown, only about a 10-15 walk from where we wanted to go -Decent value- everything else was sold out and they could have charged...

This hotel is VERY clean. It looks like a perfect little slice of 1950ish resort. It is a Frank Lloyd Wright building and will be a great find if you want to make your stay memorable. The owners are great and the breakfast in the morning is nice - eggs, yogurt, milk, coffee, OJ, etc. Live you life and stay...

the architecture and furnishings are classic 50's with great elegance. the chair in my room was wonderful; lots of wood and mirrors. could do with money to restore the finishes. clean, simple but not modern; breakfast over at 9h30 the staff are friendly but shy; we did get dinner recommendations which were out of date as one place had closed.

If you're just passing thru Collingwood, you could do worse. You could also do better. I was lured to reserve here by the promise of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. And you do get a nice Wright exterior and a view of a Wright-ish garden area. But the interior was more "old" than authentic. It's not very efficiently run, with no...

• On New Years Eve we arrived after 6 hours of travel expecting two rooms/four beds which I had reserved with my credit card and with confirmation # in hand only to be told that they had made a mistake and there were no rooms for us. They ended up finding one room with 1 bed. I was left to...

First stay. I've built large scale 4 and 5 star hotels and stayed in most flags. This overnight stay on a business trip was a delight...including the bedding. for me the Frank Lloyd Wright design was a major added yet understated bonus.

I checked out a day early with 24 hours notice, and they refused to give me a refund, in exchange I was offered a free night for the next time I stayed there. After I left I received a phone call accusing me of having a guest over night( which I didn't have) and was told I was not getting...

I stayed here with my teenage son and his two friends, on 2 occasions. Once on Canada Day weekend and a second time in early September for downhil bike racing. We were interested because of the cost of the room ($110) for 2 double beds, ground floor accomodations and the closeness to Blue Mountain. Obviously, coming back a second time...

Last time we were here we stayed at the Holiday Inn. Exceptional service, modern rooms, hearty breakfast, newspapers and nice lounge. But there was a charge to use a small fitness room and the rooms were very expensive. So this time we took the budget route. All hotels/motels look the same from the back of your eyelids and since most...

Hi, I travel the province regularly & have stayed in several hotels around Ontario since March, 2011. The Mariner came up on my GPS; I had no prior experience with it & called. I checked in, and was delighted to learn of free unlimited continental breakfast every morning (eggs, milk, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, several kinds of fresh bread), this...
