We stayed here with a large group for a hockey tournament. The hotel is newly renovated with new beds. The hotel is extremely clean and very affordable. Checkin was very efficient and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was very slow for a large group, and prices were a little high. We paid $7 for burnt toast that took an...

The Hotel North sits high on a hill overlooking the harbor of North Sydney, where if you are in a room facing the harbor, you’ll get to see huge boats offloading and loading tractor trailers bound to and from New Brunswick. It’s quite an impressive thing to see. Finding your way down the hill into town is another matter, as...

We stayed here on our way across Canada. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our rooms were great, we stayed twice, once when we got there for two nights and another for one night when we came back from our night trip to Newfoundland on the ferry. Both times our rooms were clean and stocked and comfy. We did laundry...

We booked in to the hotel for an overnight stay prior to taking the ferry to Port aux Basques. The welcome was efficient, friendly and helpful and the evening meal superb - well served by pleasant staff and with a great choice of fish, seafood, poultry and meat. The breakfast menu was slightly limited but the food on offer was...

The rooms were a good size and nice and quiet. I had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and it was good. Beautiful view from the patio as well. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Stayed here two nights going and coming back from Nfld. It is not very Impressive from the outside but the rooms were top notch. Bed was comfortable, room spacious, reasonable price, and everything we ordered in the restaurant was very good. Server at breakfast was run off her feet but was super. I would suggest management get more help for...

This is a great place to stay. The location is perfect if you are getting on or off the ferry. The ferry is less than 2 minutes away. The hotel was lean and neat. The staff were friendly and helpful .There are some points of interest close to the hotel.

It has been a few years since I was last in this hotel, and my last impression is that is was wearing its age. Might even say it was sadly neglected. While planning a trip to Cape Breton I looked at this hotel and decided to take a chance, based on some reviews I read. I am happy I did!...
