The Sidney Pier Hotel is in a lovely setting on the water facing the Gulf and San Juan Islands. The hotel itself is upscale; the rooms very large and beautifully furnished in contempoary style. The staff were immensely friendly and helpful. The bar and resturant are vey popular; the drinks well done and the food is excellent. Sidney itself is... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 14 October 2016

Our room was excellent. Sydney was ideal for us with its location and picturesque shops, walks and access to highways and transportation. Our room's balcony at the Sydney Pier overlooked the ocean, Islands and local waterfront. The restaurants in the Hotel were great reasonably priced with indoor and outside sitting. More

we stayed in an ocean view room for 1 night. The view was amazing. The decor is very contemporary & modern. I was surprised at the full sized toiletries in the bathroom. The bathrobe was very cozy & comfortable as well. I don't recall the website mentioning a $5.25 parking fee in an unsecured underground parking lot. We were told of... More

Thank you for your review. I am very happy to hear you enjoyed your room, the hotel and and amenities. Our parking fee is noted on our website (under Amenities tab), but perhaps it can reflected it in more than one place. Thank you for choosing the Pier, Natalie More

This is a fantastic hotel with an even better staff. The hotel is 5 minutes from the ferry but located in a very walkable small town with everything you could want to shop, eat, and drink, with spectacular views. The hotel is clean and modern. The only draw backs were that the bed was very uncomfortable, and the shower door... More

Thank you very much for sharing your experience, and for choosing the Pier! I am sorry you did not enjoy the mattress - which are approximately a 6 on the firmness scale. We can add sheepskin (or more than 1) to any of our mattresses should guests prefer a softer feel, which we can have prepared in advance of your... More

I will stay here from now on. Great location, quieter and more homey than downtown Victoria. Extremely well laid out room with a kitchenette and a little table. Great deluxe bathrooms, spotless, super soft linens and very friendly staff at the front desk. Kudos to you, well done!

We stayed 2 nights in November in an ocean view room on the third floor. We had a great view of the sunrise on the first morning. The room was very good although with a modern décor which is not my first choice. All of the staff we dealt with were polite and helpful. Parking is only $5 per day... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very happy to hear you enjoyed that hotel and our service. I apologize for the issue with the hot water; that is a very rare occurrence and I was not aware we had this issue the night of your stay. I agree we fell short of standard. Stayed with my spouse here before flying out early on an international flight. Very comfy bed, modernly decorated, and spacious room. Great value considering the cost of the hotel room. Nice restaurant and pub, also has a nice cafe. Cant beat the location on the sea. We will definitely stay there again.

Stopped in after a long drive for a one night stay before catching an early morning flight - very quick reception, room was large, very clean and quiet with a nice view over the harbour. I went to Sidney by myself for three days of wandering little shops, catching up with a friend, and enjoying peaceful walks along the ocean. I loved my time there and would have loved another couple of days. I took a room overlooking Beacon Street. I would have preferred a room overlooking the ocean, but I am too cheap to... More

Thank you for sharing your experience, and for the choosing the Pier for your getaway. It is great to hear you enjoyed your room, and the facilities in the hotel. Fantastic suite which included a kitchen with stove, microwave, full fridge & dishwasher as well as a dining table that easily sat six (and we squeezed in eight). There were also two complete bathrooms, a large deck and a gas fired fireplace. Full sized windows gave a lovely view over the waterfront. Suite very clean and seemed new.
