Ridiculous additional costs, such as 10$ for 4 blocks of firewood, you pay per campsite, per person, AND per tent. 3 of my friends and I were charged $32.00 per night for the site, an extra $6.00 per night for 2 extra people, AND discovered we had to pay an extra $32.00 per night just because we had 2 small...

My family and I booked a camping site for 3 nights on checkin we paid for all 3 nights then not 20 mins after getting set up they are calling my cell phone and asking us if we are staying the full 3 nights because they have people who are booked after us wanting to come in early. Also we...

We stayed at Canyon Hot Springs for one night in July as part of a motorcycle trip from Calgary to Vancouver. The campground is in a pretty location and seems fairly well tended. Once on site, we had no trouble registering and getting pool passes, although my attempts to reserve a campsite online prior to arrival did not "go through"...

Stayed for a night while traveling west after white water rafting near Golden. Beautiful site, excellent facilities, esp laundry, showers, toilets, well kept individual full hook up RV sites, the hot springs are perfect to relax in while looking out to the mountains. Would defiantly stay again and we thoroughly recommend it.

Three of us arrived on bicycles with two small tents. $47 including $10 extra for the second tent! But wait for it....we still had to pay $3 for a six minute shower. For three people that adds up to $56 for an unpowered site. Incessant very loud train noise through the night made for a sleepless night.

This stop reminded me of places I visited with my parents in the sixties. Some of the buildings look updated with metal alpine type roofing. You can camp or park your rv and there are trails nearby. It's an old style resort. The hot springs run into two municipal type pools, nothing fancy, no grottos. Kids with their parents appeared...

We stayed one night as we did not make reservations at another location. The office and pool areas are nice. The pitfalls to Canyon Hot springs were the extremely small campsites. We were in site 146 and was not impressed. The train tracks are directly behind you and the trains do not stop it seems like a constant rumble of...

We have visited Canyon Hot Springs for years and enjoy the quiet interlude and escape from the traffic on Canada's #1 Highway. While we notice some attempt at improvements, there is work to do. That said we will continue to visit. Yes, the trains roar through at all hours. Seems to me that noise is the sound of the economy...

We spent two nights in the "Family Suite. 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, fridge and microwave". There were 4 of us, 2 couples, and we paid with taxes $ 550 total for 2 nights. First off, we called ahead to get some information on the cabin, the person who answered the phone had no clue and could not find someone...

I really really wanted to give this a great review, the place is picturesque, a truly lovely spot but.....the train running so close to the campground was a deal breaker for me. At 3:10 am it sounds like the train is right in the campground with you! I don't think small children could sleep through that. I had earplugs and...
