Detailed Reviews
Returned to this resort for a 3 night stay Oct 2020 after being away for almost 2 years. Booked a large 1 bedroom suite again and was not disappointed.
There was some wear and tear compared to our previous stay, but overall quality of the resort has been maintained surprisingly well.
Stayed with our two young kids and they loved it, particularly for the location directly on the beach as well as the pool. Having kept the pool and hot tub open (using a reservation only system) was a significant factor for us returning as our kids love pool time. Pool was well heated and hot tub was sizeable.
A bit disappointed at the location of our suite (Tower 2nd floor overlooking the reception area) despite requesting a quieter unit and most of the hotel clearly being unoccupied. Previous stay had included a partial ocean view. Would consider booking ocean view next time as it significantly affected privacy and quality of experience.
Customer service was good overall. Have never been a patron at the restaurant as unit has its own full kitchen and dining area.
I find this resort is on the pricier side with respect to value for money compared to other resorts we’ve stayed in, even with the promotional rate with which we secured our booking. Hence, I’d stay again but I wouldn’t strongly recommend it to friends or family on a regular basis.

Because of COVID-19 things are not easy..but at Beach Club Resort they have made my stay very comfortable..when checking in I was informed of the hotels protocol which I found easy to follow and everyone around me and at the resort followed this.. it was very easy to be seated for breakfast and lunch.. but I would highly recommend a reservation for dinner because seating is limited...every wait staff was amazing especially Amber..
The resort was very clean
Staff was amazing
It’s a great location
And when you stroll down the boardwalk, make sure to stop at the ice cream trail and get a cone..it was YUMMY

Went for a couple of nights as they currently have a special of 25% off if you stay for 2 nights. Rates were going up for the season the day we departed, so we got a very good deal. We had stayed with them in October 2019 and were very happy with the property. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with partial ocean view, and were delighted to be upgraded to full ocean view. We had a corner room with great lighting and a lovely balcony to use for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails! Fabulous ocean views. Lots of activity with paddle boarders, kayakers and people just going for a walk.
Staff at the front desk were very welcoming. They give you a print out on arrival of their COVID-19 protocol, and it is listed on their website. There was hand sanitizer everywhere and only 2 people on an elevator at one time. When we checked in and they gave us a pen to sign in, they then put it in a container after to be sanitized.
They took our name and phone number when we went to sit on the outdoor dining patio. We were impressed with all the safety measures they were taking. The wait staff were wearing either a mask or a shield. Spacing on the patio was very good between the tables. Weather was beautiful and sunny for our stay. We will be back.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite with full ocean view. Everything about the property and view were outstanding! Fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, really big shower as well as tub in master bathroom. Washer and dryer in the suite.
It was obvious the hotel took careful precautions with Covid - there was always someone sanitizing common areas, mandatory masks, many hand sanitizer stations.
Property is right on the boardwalk along the beach, within walking distance of stores and restaurants but far enough away from the road that we never heard street noise. Great balcony. Ate at the restaurant twice - food and service were excellent!

The view, the quality of the suites, and the helpful staff all made for a wonderful stay. The suite looked right out over Parksville beach with a neverending view of tides, water, and people out for walks. If you can manage it, the full one-bedroom stuies are well worth the slightly extra charge, as the space and comfort they provide helped make our stay feel quite luxurious.
The Stonewate Spa also deserves a shoutout. Although it is run as a separate entity, it is located within the hotel and fully integrated into the guest experience. They provide excellent services in the spa and my wife & I highly recommend them.
We've stayed several times at the Beach Club abd will continue to return for relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable getaways. The off-season rates make this an excellent value.

Family of 2 adults/2 kids stayed in an ocean view 1 bedroom suite, was awesome being on the ground floor as we were steps away from the beach and boardwalk, but a little disconcerting when the yoga class took place right outside our window and when the gardeners were working!
Spotlessly clean, kitchen had everything we could have wanted, sofa bed was made up with sheets and a blanket but we called for an extra duvet as we didn't feel the kids would have been warm enough, would have been nice if that was already there.
I know it's Covid but when staying for a week I find it very disappointing that we are still not getting even basic housekeeping services like a towel change, emptying garbage or restocking tea/coffee supplies. If that is the case then at least provide information on garbage disposal and provide more tea/coffee and toilet paper on day one.
Bed was very comfortable, plenty of pillows, sofa and chairs were not great for lounging around, too firm and seats too deep to get really comfortable but fine for short periods.
Having one and a half baths seemed great but honestly, I would have prepared a second shower than the huge master bath. Lots of hot water
I didn't use the pool facilities but kids did and enjoyed it, though it was hit and miss whether they had towels available.
Nice restaurant for a drink on the patio or dinner, would have liked a breakfast option
As others have said, parking was problematic. If you park in the overflow the car has to be moved before 9am - which of course is before spaces have freed up in the main parking lot, though front desk will take your keys and move for you allegedly

We have wanted to stay here for a long time. Like many others needing a getaway we took advantage of the family day long weekend coupled with Valentines.
We stayed in a penthouse suite, and it was amazing! Everything was clean and sanitized. We brought food with us. Used room service once, and the food was great!
We didn’t get a chance to use the poop or hot tub as reservations were full, but made use of the soaker tub instead.
The set up in the kitchen is great, almost everything you need is there. One thing missing was baking sheets, but I’m sure if I had enquired with the front desk they would have helped. All cutlery, knives measuring spoons were supplied too. All appliances worked great. (toaster, kettle, coffee maker) We couldn’t figure out the ice maker in the freezer the first night and called for help, they brought us a bucket of ice to get us through until we had made enough.
The couch and isn’t the most comfortable for a long period of time but the arm chairs were great! We turned them to face the ocean view and people watched! It was a snowy weekend and so pretty! There was even some fireworks on either side of the resort down on the beach !
Can’t wait to come back and stay in the summer!

We arrived here just before the covid19 warnings were severe. This hotel has taken the upmost care and responsible measures to ensure safety for all the patrons. We were only on qualicum for 3 nights at this hotel but the customer service at the front desk, the room service, the cleanliness, the promptness with requests and just the overall smiles and positivity in such a difficult time for everyone, was impeccable.
I am thoroughly impressed with this resort and will definitely return. We had a room on the fourth floor facing ocean front. This was a dream. The full kitchen and, laundry allowed us to stay quarantined as a family here but still enjoy the many beautiful surrounding beaches. This place is a gem

My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Beach Club in their one bedroom oceanfront main floor room #110. We appreciated the effort of the night staff as we arrived at 12:30 am due to flight delays, their helpfulness was greatly appreciated. Our clean room was exactly as advertised, we took full advantage of the fully outfitted kitchen by purchasing food items at a local grocery store. The deep soak tub was luxurious at the end of a busy hiking day, I would recommend bringing a bath bomb. I found the best part of the room was the fact that being on floor level allowed us to sit on our private patio listening to ocean waves & soaking up the beautiful views - we took advantage of our private pathway that led to the boardwalk and beach combed for shells. I would highly recommend 👌

Travelodge experience for over double the price. This was booked as part of an extended trip to break our journey. Obviously it is on the beach front but don’t expect the beach view you booked. Rooms are not ready until 5pm. Ours was even later due to maintenance issues. Our view was of the main road with the corner of the beach visible from the balcony. Sadly this was inaccessible as door wouldn’t open. 1 towel per person and no breakfast available as the restaurant closes 2 days a week!! Unlucky us!! You can stay at the Travelodge for less than half price- no beach view but at least you get breakfast and it’s included. On the plus side the bed was very comfy and shower excellent.

the weather....currently we have rain and at times light snow.....We do get sunny days ....as it comes in spurts...lol...
Vancouver island is beautiful anytime...just be prepared to dress as needed....next few days are sunny with highs of 6 Celsius
I would agree that you should get dry weather in July-Sept. This weekend has a 3 day stretch of partly sunny weather Sat-Mon :).
No they don't allow pets.
There's a really cool park steps from the resort right off the boardwalk. The park has water shooters and mini water slide, a rope swing and a bunch of other stuff good for all ages. Theres a coffee shop really close again within walking distance. Because coffee is key for parents. The mini golf and bumper boats I think they are too young for. Honestly with the beach right in front that's going to be enough for them because they're younger and can't stay out in the sun for that long. I would recommend getting a suite. Thats what we did with two younger kids. One would nap while older brother can play in the living room or watch tv.
"Pack light & keep it simple because they have everything you need. So enjoyable & easy to enjoy the beach without packing all the extras."Read full review
