We stayed here at the end of Aug and will stay again. VERY clean and beds were comfy for sure. I am picky and this place totally exceeded my expectations. The rooms have been reno'd and it was quiet. The staff were professional and again, room was super clean. We walked each day across the street to the beach and grabbed coffees at McDonalds next door. I simply cannot complain about anything with this motel. I would recommend this place over the Bayside Resort everyday - bad service and rooms at VIP cleaner and newer. Beach is available to everyone. Great job VIP and we will be back constantly. Thanks.

Clean, spacious rooms with super comfy beds and extra pillows already in the room. This is a cheap and cheerful style motel but everything about it is great. New clean furniture. Not an old musty overstuffed piece of upholstery to be seen. Sunny, the fellow that runs the front desk is fantastic. Good heating and air-conditioning. Basic bathroom but clean and lots of towels. Everything works.

An older property, but it is clear that it is in the midst of being remodeled, both in the rooms and the exterior. We stayed at this property many times, many years ago, so fully met our expectations. Good to see all the improvements going on. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable and well priced. A good stopover motel, and in summer, well placed for short holidays!!

I was on a motorcycle trip when I booked at this motel as it had the best price of Motels in Parksville. What a pleasant surprise! I was met by the manager ( can't remember his name, I think it was Sonny) and he was very professional and helpful with my wifi connection. This is an older Motel that has been updated like new. I liked the ground floor entrance to the rooms which were updated and spotless. I could not hear any road noise while here and would highly recommend this motel as I believe it's great value in today's prices. A clean room and good bed is all I require when travelling and this motel certainly met my needs. Breakfast is not included but MacDonalds is just one block down the street.

This motel was absolutely awful. When we arrived, we couldn't open our door - we had to jimmy out key to get it open and then push our entire body weight against the door to close it on the other side. There were bed bug protectors on one of the two mattresses and one of the two box springs but they were filled with holes and held together with duct tape. There was something brown, sticky and greasy splattered all over one of the box springs. The doors and walls were dirty and the tub was stained brown. It was so bad we decided not to stay the night. Worst of all, they refused to give us a refund so we had to pay the full night (which was around $280 CAD) despite not even staying there. I took photos of everything. We ended up getting a less expensive room at the Bayside resort across the street which was BEAUTIFUL. Don't waste your money at this awful motel.

We stayed at the VIP for 3 nights. The whole experience was excellent! The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and helpful, the cleaning staff were also very helpful. It was nice to have laundry service with a FREE washing machine. The rooms were very clean and the shower and bathroom were excellent. The lighting in the bathroom was so bright and cheery. There was a breakfast, which was limited due to Covid. The coffee in the room was excellent. I slept like a baby in the comfy beds. I also liked the 'green' area to sit and have a picnic or just relax. A great family motel.

The room was very dirty! We wore our shoes the entire time. The pillows where the size of throw pillow for a couch and completely flat.. dirty and yuck all over the bathroom walls. Base board in the bathroom were completely covered in dirt and hair.

Stayed four nights in a room with a kitchen. The room was clean, and had everything we needed. About a 15 minute walk to the beach (Parksville Community Beach) or less than 10 minutes to drive. Across the street from the mini-golf. The decore was dated, but that just meant I didn't have to worry too much when the dog or kids came back from the beach. The owners worked hard to make the place welcoming, and were up from dawn to dusk watering plants, cleaning rooms, and opening windows to air out the rooms. This is basic motel accommodation. Parking is out front, and breakfast is cold cereal, coffee, muffins and juice. We were happy here and would come back. People wanting luxury and prestige should look elsewhere.

New corporate owners in the last year. It now has become more of a homeless shelter than anything else. "Guests" smoke directly outside their rooms, the fence needs to be fixed, the morning breakfast was so bad I went to MacDonald's instead

This Motel is a little older, you can definitely tell by the decor and the poor lighting but it was very clean! The staff was friendly and the room set up was fantastic. At only $99.00 for the night our room had three queen beds and a well stocked kitchenette it was perfect! They include a continental breakfast with toast and muffins as well, if you are not happy with that McDonald is right down the road.
