Very nice resort, good reception on arrival. ....and a nice lot. My opinion however is that if a place says wifi on all lots, I should not have to walk 300yds to the nearest building to get it....and a very poor signal at that. To be 5stars wifi should be available and good....i would therefore give the resort 4 stars.

We only stayed one night on an oceanfront site with our 30' trailer. As others have noted already, about 90% have permanent dwellings. It was clean & very quiet as I'm assuming the snowbirds have already departed. We'd stay here again but only if we could get oceanfront again & we'd only stay for a short time.

Love our RV spot. Oceanview and sunsets can't get much better than that. It was out first time at this RV park and would most likely re-book. I loved how quiet it was. Kids had a great time in the pool and playing tennis.

WOW! Over $56 of hidden cost when booking a 3 night stay after summer into fall! What a joke.
A $20 "lock in site fee" this is the most ridiculous fee I have ever seen and just a blatant money grab. If you dont pay this fee you stand loosing the site that you booked on there web site by literally selecting it from a map. Im disgusted with this place already and havent even gotten there yet
$5 PER CHILD! PER NIGHT! in a time where the Pool wont even be open! Like WTF?
Seriously? This is disgusting after the fact money grabs. The sites have aboslutely ZERO privacy and your crammed in like Sardines. I find the hidden costs to be ignorant and a money grab. Why should my kids be $30 more for the three nights? The pool isnt open..... there not using your shower or bathrooms we are a self contained trailer? SO why? Only reason I booked here is because I know the person in front of me, SO at least I can relax by a fire wthout having someone staring at us 8 feet away through there bedroom window.

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and boy did they. I was met with a sneer “We don’t take walk in’s”, well then answer your damn phone, we called 3 times! Then was informed that the entire island was booked, we would never find a spot, “Good luck buddy, where are you from?” with a tone like I was an idiot that just landed here. FYI there were plenty of places to stay, we are on the same beach adjoining this property, and a very hospitable facility, I can’t imagine why these guys were booked?

Too many restrictions on vehicle year/age! Don't know what the fuss about all that is for, much nicer places to stay in Parksville without all the rules. We won't be back and there are too many permanent residents.

This is one of the best resorts if you are old and don't like kids and enjoy being extremely regulated. Came over from the mainland and was definatly not worth the overpriced ferry ride over. We do a lot of rving all over BC and Washington State and did not joy these premises at all. Clean facility only because it is ruled with a heavy hand. Not our cup of tea , just saying

This RV park certainly lived up to its 5* rating. It was like living in a little village - our site was on Oystercatcher Row and was exceptionally spacious with a sun deck and picnic table. All the sites, access roads and grassy areas were very well maintained and everything was super-clean. The staff at reception were friendly and efficient. There was a clubhouse with television and reading area leading through to the pool and hot tub. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the superb views over the Georgia Strait. The pool area was also very clean. Although this is a large, busy park it was very quiet and seemed very safe too with a low speed restriction for traffic. Children on bikes, people walking their dogs, families flying kites all gave the place a really friendly atmosphere. We also saw the occasional deer. There's a beach nearby and it's easy to walk into Parksville. The town of Coombs is a short drive away and is good for an afternoon trip. We only stayed two nights but would have loved to stay longer and, considering all the amenities and its wonderful location, we found it very good value.

We booked in for a week and chose this place due to location, amenities and beach. We were not disappointed. Obviously every place has its pluses and negatives. I will try to offer good insight... This is primarily a member oriented resort that appears to have about 85 or 90% of sites occupied by permanent RV park models. With only a couple of exceptions these sites are clean, very well maintained and without kitschy swag laying about. Most members seemed to be mature adults who own homes elsewhere and spend better weather months here - many we met were Americans. Most are older - a 60th wedding anniversary party closed down the clubhouse one day we were here. However, we felt welcomed as a family and all amenities are open to everyone, including kids, except for windows of advertised adult only pool hours. There appear to be facility owned site rentals and member owned site rentals. We booked 6 months in advance and were very happy with our quiet, estuary view site that was fully fenced for our dog though other rental sites were without any fences and some were very open and without any shade or privacy whatsoever. Not our cup of tea. Being on the water there lovely breezes flowing through tho we were told some waterfront sites were cold due to strong winds and some regular renters prefer the estuary side. The proximity to the ocean also meant no mosquitoes!! The beach access is very rocky and not terribly inviting tho the big Parksville Community Park is immediately next door with sandy beaches and very low tides which are perfect for skimboarding, kayaking, SUP's and beach play. The resort is gated so the many on site amenities are for your own use. The pool and hot tub are great as is the raised patio around them with outdoor patio furniture. The sunsets from this location of the property are fantastic. The clubhouse has a pool table, shuffleboard, big screen TV, laundry room (expensive at 2/wash and 2/dry), hot and very clean showers and space for games. Big fireplace for winter. There was a second shower and laundry house closer to us that was operational on the map but inexplicably locked tight. The grounds also offer 2 tennis courts, an older tennis court converted to a pickleball court, a small golf driving range, a remote control vehicle track and a basketball hoop that was useable but in poor condition. Wi-Fi is included though spotty coverage at times, especially mornings, so we had to supplement with data. Garbage is quite far from the housing area so was either a cycle, drive or 15 min walk away. Recycling sadly limited only to returnable bottles and cans which seems very odd to us. Staff friendly and facility very well maintained. Located in Parksville for all shopping and food amenities you could want. As with any RV park there was the odd louder site with TV's overwhelming the nighttime crickets but overall definitely recommended, especially if you can get a member rental as opposed to the more open and less private resort-owned rental. All rentals done through the main office so ask about site options and locations when you call.

We have just finished one week of a 4 week stay with our 5th wheel. We are parked backing on to the estuary. We are really happy that we have 3 more weeks!!! The facilities are first rate, the complex is clean and we'll maintained. It is mostly owners here which is a bonus. The sites are very well kept. It's quiet, and peaceful. The office staff has been very helpful and friendly.
