Couldn't have been happier with my stay in Nelson and The Alpine Hotel was just perfect! Super clean rooms, we could park near our rooms. Our chaperone told us it was great and she was right! We had everything we needed. They even had extra...More
First time staying at the Alpine. We enjoyed a girls weekend. Quiet, and a great location, friendly staff, the upgraded spacious Fireplace suite, was very clean. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchenette, very comfortable beds, we were all very satisfied and highly recommend the Inn....More
Have been told it's the place to stay. Bed was very good ( king in my room). Not sure if it was one of the renovated rooms but the wood on the walls would be considered dated by some. Fridge, microwave and coffee machine were...More
We stayed in the family suite, which was renovated, only the kitchen needs upgrade.
Very comfortable beds!
Good space for 4 people, good service.
Nice staff which helped with restaurant choices for breakfast and dinner.

Don't worry about asking for an updated room as suggested in one of the latest reviews. All rooms are updated to the same extend (June 2016) besides carpets and kitchens. Go to "rooms and rates" on our website and click on the individual room-types. It will show you some photos of that particular room-type.
The walk to Baker street is very doable in summer as well as in most winter days. After some fresh snow you might want to consider driving into town or take a cab but I would say that one can walk at least 9 out of 10 times in the winter.
