60s era (perhaps 50s) MOtor hoTEL. The real deal. Some upgrades from the 21st century (bath) but still Colonial 900 clings to the halcyon period of hotrods and hair pomade. Highway noise is included in the daily rate.

This seemed like an economical and convenient stopping point between Canadian Parks and Seattle. The hotel, which is past the edge of town, is affordable and we set expectations to that. Simon greeted us warmly – I think this maybe a technique to win guests over before they see the room. The double queen room was large with a divider between a sitting area in vintage (very vintage) but comfortable chairs. A bed table and dresser were provided and the desk contained additional drawers. Oddly there was no luggage rack. Various extension cords were scattered about so that there were places to plug in devices. Lighting was not great but adequate. Internet access was good, but then we were in the room next to the office. Nothing was new. Nothing sparkled. The refrigerator and microwave were oddly placed but available. We noted: pealing paint all over, gazillions of gnats, wads of hair in the shower drain, a heater so noisy it woke me up several times during the night, a burned out light in the bathroom and lamps with cords unattractively just wrapped around them. If I were you, I’d check out rest of Hope before staying here.

Thank you Wendy for your words. I am little taken back by this since the words that were spoken were vastly different than what you have written. All I will say is I am sorry if this was not good enough for you. It is good enough for most people we have had pleasure serving. it is a roadside motel and the price is set at such. Also, We have mentioned this is an older motel. of course nothing is new. You new that when you checked in.

We choose to stay here every time we pass through Hope! Clean and quiet every time, friendly service from the owner and the night manager. Selfishly I don’t want to promote them too much because I want to ensure we can get a room there again next time! 5 stars- highly recommended.

So we stayed one night in room #1, with our beagle. Decor is 80’s, which is fine. I booked a king size bed, someone called me just before the trip and said we would have 2 queen beds instead - ok I’m fine with that. Then we arrive and it is one queen bed. Hmmm #1 The key front door lock took a lot of jiggling each time to get it open, needs to be changed. Hmm, minor annoyance. Multiple plugs in the place don’t work, annoying.....coffee maker didn’t turn on.....now when you mess with a person’s morning coffee.....that is dangerous territory!😜 Basically zero wifi. We were too far away from the modem? Lucky if we got one bar for 5 min then kicked off.....😕. Then the smell wafted through the window....the smell of rotting garbage....we were on the end and didn’t realize a few months worth of bottles and cans piled up and literally a wheelbarrow of garbage right beside our room. Now this is completely unacceptable and unnecessary. 😡 Accepting an affordable older decor motel is one thing. This was a bit over the top on grunge. Bed was ok comfortable, on wheels, room temp was good, fridge worked well....was quiet until neighbor got up at 3am to go to work. He was pretty loud walking.
