This could be an interesting park. Very rustic. We had a pull through for our 34' 5th wheel and it was fine. In the summer or better weather there are paragliders which would have made our visit more exciting. There is also access to the Columbia River down the road. For us the weather was rainy and cloudy so not...

A bit of the beaten path but well worth it. Best Campground we have found in the golden area. Saw a bear which was both fun and a bit unnerving . Definitely stay again next trip. Both power and watch. Nice private stalls.

Lots of space to accommodate all kinds of camping (yurts, tents, rv's, etc.). Nice little trail to hike, a variety of things to do with the family and lots of room for groups. We were nicely surprised and enjoyed our one night stay at this place.

I reserved the space 6 months ahead and we got a certain site for 2 nights. When we checked in, we were assigned this site, but when we came to the site it was already taken. So we returned to the office and got another site. The next night we came back from our day trip and our site was...

We stayed two nights here, while there was a hang gliding and paragliding competition running. Our site was awesome - close to the washrooms, showers, etc. - lots of space for our rig, and decent privacy too. The camp is well run, and the "wash house" was clean and we'll kept. It was so good, that we're going to stay...

Booked to stay in one of the 3 yurts for a one night stop over on the way to Alberta. Good news...it was a cool camping experience out in nature, pretty quiet area. Bad news...the train blasts about 4 times throughout the night, the yurt is a basic shelter with very "rustic" bed frames. The interior of the yurt was...

We stayed 10 days at G.E.A.R. The weather was mostly wet but we had a good time. The mosquitoes were no worse than any other place in interior BC. The place is well-kept and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. All the staff were friendly. Close to Moonraker trail network. I would definitely go back!

The campground is nice, sites are private and the whole place is nice and clean. But for the price it's pretty rudimentary. Water for drinking/dishes is quite far, you best plan on just bringing water with you. Toilets are very stinky and there aren't enough of them. Fire rings are very small, so small that it's hard to get your...

After reading other reviews we were a little worried about here, however that changed once we saw the place. We only have a small 26ft Motorhome and we were able to navigate the rv section of the grounds with ease. While here we seen 40 foot rigs here and they seemed able to manoeuvre into the spaces. Two really nice...

Really nice roomy and private site. Showers are free in a very clean wash house. We picked wild raspberries and saskatoons in the bushes. It was fun to watch a trio of paragliders land. Yes there were mosquitos, but bug spray helped and the other advantages made up for it. Glad we chose this spot for our night in Golden.

Thank steadette

“RV park and campsite with a few yurts”

“This was set up as a hotel, but it's a campground. If you're interested in watching the paragliding and hang gliding pilots land take a site in the front row, if you're more about spending quiet time, the back two rows are set right in the trees. The whole campground always smells like fresh cut woods.”
