I didn't feel like paying 130 a night the other hotels, so I decided to stay at the Royal Duke. For 95 dollars it wasn't too bad. A small room but quiet and clean. The bar down stairs had awesome food and really nice staff. Definitely good value for your dollar

This is a pub with rooms upstairs. The rooms were basic but clean and quiet. The bathrooms was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The room had an air-conditioner ..a bit noisy but OK. There was a flat screen TV which worked fine.Tea and coffee facilities are in the room. The downstairs restaurant served good food at reasonable...

On our cross country motorcycle trip we found our way into Canada. On our return ride we had reserved a night here. Riding up to it, I was wondering how it would be. The interior really surprised us. All of it has recently been refurbished and it has an old time style. The room was equipped with a fridge, microwave,...

Three of us had ribs and they were tasty, not cooked enough and hard to eat but still OK. I had Shepard's pie with a Cesar Salad side --both were good. They gave us an some deep (over) fried rib ends as a bonus for ordering a bottle of wine. This is more Bar than hotel....we only ate.

We went to the Royal Duke for supper as a family for a birthday supper. The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. It was a fantastic experience all around. The kids were treated like real people and were very excited about the service they received. Food was fantastic for the price. Great place.

This is a great place to eat and also had a hotel attached that have both been remodelled form the original. Bars (taverns) in Alberta in the old days could only open if attached to a hotel. It is great to visit the old hotels in the area such as the Duke that have this history, Another old local hotels...

Weekly visitor to this clean, fun, and friendly establishment. Food ois always fresh, hot, & tasty - recommend the steaks (New York & Ribeye)and something called English Jackets - a Yorkshire pudding with shaved prime rib beef topped with gravy. Veggies never soggy, salad crisp; HUGE fish n' chips & daily soup specials. Enjoy, and have fun with the entertaining...

I needed somewhere to stay in the Okotoks area and chose the Royal Duke, somewhat hesitantly, because I remember this building in a previous incarnation from many years ago as the Willingdon Hotel - a seedy country pub with a beer parlour. However, after my first stay, I booked in again. The rooms are upstairs over the pub and restaurant,...

Well worth the stay considering the age of the hotel. I felt very safe with the front and upstairs doors locked. It was perfect for our purpose as we only slept and showered there. The bed was great, and our room had AC and two windows that opened! The whole place was very clean.

My theatre troop and I came to stay the weekend for a festival; the minute we walked in we loved it. The pub is comfortable and the staff is friendly. Food was good :) Gerry checked us in and showed us our rooms, what a charmer! He laughed and joked with us, treated us like regular customers. The rooms were...
