An absolutely wonderful lunch today at the Auberge with friendly, warm service. The salade melée (mixed salad) was full of great surprises - corn, beans, pepitas, cucumbers, radishes, etc. The assiette Valaisanne (mixed cheese/dried meat platter) had to be the most beautiful presentation of one in the 18 years that I've lived in Switzerland. Of course the usual meat and...

We had a great 4 day stay in Auberge des Glaciers. It's a basic accommodation offering all you need in the mountains. The food was great including the wine acompanying it, all this at reasonable prices. Being Swiss, I think price service ratio was perfectly fine and we had very hearty and warm chats with both the personnel and the...

We stayed one night here while hiking the Alpine Pass Route. From the outside, it looks like an Alpine dream. Great location in the centre of the village, with stunning views. But the hotel is dire, welcome to the 70s. The rooms are dark and dingy. Wifi is intermittent. The welcome is frigid and it feels as if guests are...

It was a planned stop on the TMB. The hotel’s balcony was a nice welcome on a sunny day with a beer. Our room was good enough for a night stop on our hike. If you are looking for more – try somewhere else. We had HB with dinner and breakfast. The meals where very basic and typical for Switzerland....

Had a good stay here as part of the TMB. Had a private double room with our own shower (wonderful after all the communal showers) but the toilet was shared. However, there were not many people staying at the hotel whilst we were there so was not a problem having to share this. Room also had a balcony. We had...

We arrived at 2:00pm and tried to get a bite to eat for lunch as we had just finished a stage of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Unfortunately, the chef was taking a siesta so no hot food was being served. We were offered only salad. After ordering only one salad two were delivered. (One person in the party didn't...

Our rooms here were good. We had booked early, requesting private rooms, so we were on the top floor and our rooms were big and bright with their own showers (and a shared toilet in the hall). But don't get me started on dinner. We could not get service, and once we did, the gal complained for 5 minutes about...

After the first day of our trekking, it looked very inviting with shop on the ground and lovely flowers with people drinking outside tables. We were mixed group and knew that we all share a big room when we booked our holiday. However, when two rooms were shown, one for ladies and the other one for guys, we were all...

this review is about the restaurant only. the setting is very convenient just at the bottom of the slopes. as there are not so many choices, this place gets busy so it is wise to pop in before heading to the slopes to book a table which will make things easier. we skied in La Fouly for more than a...

Went there for a lunch during a ski day with a group of 8... Staff was totally over booked... We had to write down the order ourselves... Cut bread... And while the food was good... The cheese fondue we ordered for four was just enough for two... So disappointing for such an amazing location
