A fantastic location, on an island with view at a 7 century castle ! The kindness of Patricia and Garret, was superb and a good breakfast. These points are unique ! The room was tidy, but it is a 80's decoration, but who cares, if from your room window you have a magnificient view ? Recomend it !

What a wonderful discovery- take the lane off the main road & soon opens up the glorious location- ancient abbey, castle, causeway across to Carrig Island & great destination ahead. Wonderful welcome, evening meal, great breakfast & lovely walks before bed & first thing in the morning. A sheer delight, peaceful & the castle is amazing.

This B & B is definitely in need of an upgrade but this is balanced out by the very reasonable price, the fantastic location and the charm of the owners. There were some issues, such as no available plugs for the hair drier and phone charger, the shower is extremely small and difficult to regulate and the whole bathroom is...

We could not have been more pleased with the Castle View; Garret and Patricia Dee were wonderful hosts. We stayed four nights, making it our base for exploration of my great grandparents homelands. And with the help of Garret and a stranger in Jack J's pub in Asdee, found a remaining cousin! The food was great and don't miss the...

I didn't have reservations. We had been driving all day looking at beautiful scenery and enjoying ourselves at a leisurely pace when we just happened upon a great B&B. Aptly named, we could see the B&B from the castle. It's on an island in the Shannon. Garrett said they had one room left, and did we want dinner? Absolutely! Dinner...

Outstanding location, off the beaten path. Great host, and you are cheating yourself if you don't take advantage of the evening meal. Charming B&B at a very reasonable price. Located near River Shannon ferry.

The hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable, including making us sandwiches and soup before we left. The castle opposite is fascinating and the cows in the surrounding fields make it a truly irish setting. Thanks again for your great hospitality !

Hello fellow travelers, the Castle View House B&B is beautifully located on Carrig Island, a secluded and therefore relaxing spot, within view on the ruins of Carrigafoyle Castle. The B&B itself is perfectly located for trips to the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry and County Kerry in general making it an ideal base from which to plan your daily...

We enjoyed a single night at this lovely welcoming B&B during the Kerry Races in nearby Listowel. My niece Jessica raved about our stay as her favourite part of the 10 day trip. It all had to do with the helpful host Garrett and hostess Patricia. Their venue has loads of Irish charm starting with the owners. The history of...

The whole BnB itself was rather dated and old fashioned. But we received a lovely welcome from Garret and Petricia. We requested even meal as there was very little opportunity to eat anywhere else in that area. They kindly catered for our vegetarian needs! The area surrounding Carrig Island is obviously not used to tourists! The pubs were quirky but...
