We stayed here over a long weekend in July 2016. All in all, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. It's not a big chain hotel, so it's a wee bit old-fashioned, but not in a sense that's a problem. I haven't seen an actual CRT television for a long time, but it still worked and had all the... Wow, we were so blessed by this trip to Kimberley. Staying at the Chateau absolutely made the trip. We have never felt somewhere that not only felt highly professional and well kept but also had the hospitality of a good family friend. Feeling at home while surrounded by luxury was a treasured part of our experience!!! We had a blast... More

Great Hotel to stay at. Rooms clean and nicely appointed. Staff very friendly and quite helpful with local knowledge such as things to do, restaurants to try, and ones to avoid. Nicely decorated and quite comfortable lounge with fireplace for guests to relax in. Easy, free parking. Easy walk to center of town (Platzl). Breakfast available in the morning with... More

The location is great as it is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants. The owners were on site and we're making sure everything was like advertised. Will be staying there again. Very quite and the breakfast was very nice

We stayed here for one night on our travel through the Kootenays. What a unique hotel; right Downtown in walking distance to Platzl and many restaurants and cafes. This hotel also serves as an art gallery, art and paintings everywhere to admire, very unique! Room was quiet and comfortable and had a coffee maker and small fridge. The owner is... More

Great location, beautifully maintained hotel! The staff took the time to get to know myself, my husband, and our son by name - they created such a pleasant experience for us at their hotel. The entire hotel was clean, quiet, and allowed for an incredibly peaceful experience. They even baked cookies each evening! We will certainly go back here every... More

Perfect place for a quiet retreat! The owners operate a super friendly hotel with Art Gallery. I imagine it's not the place for party animals, thankfully, because that's not what were were looking for. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and you can walk just minutes to the downtown area. We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here a few times over the years and will continue to in the future. The staff is kind and helpful and the location is exceptionally convenient for walking to the Platzl. Taking a bit of time to view the art work hanging all through the building is a must.

This is a wonderful find in the Kimberley valley. The hotel, rooms and eating area are absolutely spotless. The rooms are dead quiet in the evening. The hotel is steps from the Platzl. Val is a lovely host with local knowledge on the history of the area, where to visit, eat and play. The building was originally home to the... More

This hotel is a real treat. It is in a very peaceful location just steps away from the delightful and quaint centre of town. The decor is very well done and the rooms are lovely. Our party of four had two rooms, each with a king bed, they were perfect. The halls are hung with local art, all for sale... More
