Nestled on a half acre lot in a quiet rural area of Qualicum Beach, we are only minutes (by car) from town, the beach, and golf courses. You are invited to come share our cottage style home. Our living room is the 'common room' and breakfst will be served in our cozy kitchen or outside on the deck (weather permitting). Breakfast is prepared by Hans, a Swiss trained chef and German is spoken. Each bedroom has wonderfully comfortable beds with fine linens, character furnishings and TV's. The two bedrooms share a bathroom and we provide bathrobes and slippers. Relax after a dy of sightseeing and enjoy Hans' creative touches around the yard. Make yourselves at home!

We've spent 4 nights at the Tea Cozy Bed and Breakfast and had the most wonderful experience! Hans and Tannis are genuinely warm and wonderful people that go the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. From the perfectly delicious breakfasts (where they even cut my little ones food small for them), to chocolates and home baked treats in the bedrooms, as well as afternoon coffees, and never ever letting us wash a single dish not even when we burrowed them for our own lunches/ dinners, to being so wonderful to talk to, and informative, I just can't say enough good things about this lovely couple! We loved them!
We had both rooms and a shared bathroom and that worked out great. Their place is very clean and we absolutely loved the beautiful garden and yard. They had some lawn games set up and ladder ball was so much fun! We brought a propane fire pit and enjoyed a fire most evenings too. So peaceful and quiet! We would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful stay at the Tea Cozy B & B. Tannis and Hans are wonderful hosts and made us fell immediately at home in their cozy (pun intended hehehe) home. We felt like we were in a cabin in the woods and really, we were, but it was warm and snug and we loved it. We only stayed one night and the next morning, we were offered a sumptuous breakfast made by Hans (who is an accomplished Chef). We also spent a good time chatting about life and a host of other topics with Tannis and Hans. It felt like we had to leave too soon, it was a wonderful stay and we will be back for sure!

A comfortable and very cozy, cottage-like stay in a beautiful corner of Qualicum. Tannis and Hans were very kind and welcoming, with baking and chocolates in our room. The breakfasts every morning were world class, prepared by the talented chef, Hans. The change of pace from Airbnb and hotel that we have usually chosen was refreshing and our hosts were very attentive, considerate and accommodating. We would highly recommend The Tea Cozy as a warm and very ‘cozy’ spot indeed! We look forward to staying here again!

Tannis and Hans were great hosts for our stay and very flexible and accommodating when we missed our ferry to the island.

The breakfasts were awesome and they even gave us a copy of the recipe to try at home! Food is great, more than enough quality and very healthy. We definitely enjoyed the great start to the day.

The house itself it located about 5-10 minutes driving from the main center of town and the beach which is great to retire to a quiet location after a long day of exploring and fun.

The rooms are nice with an extremely comfortable bed / pillows with a shared washroom. We would definitely stay here again as our staging ground to explore more of Vancouver Island next time. Thanks for all the suggestion of places to explore Hans and Tannis!

Hans and Tannis are very charming couple. They set out tea for us when we checked in. Their living room is cozy with the wood burning stove. The house is very quiet and we slept soundly in their comfortable bed. We had been traveling around Vancouver island for 8 days and had some long driving. They were very accomodating in having an early breakfast so that we could catch the ferry from Nanaimo. Hans cooked us a beautiful omelet stuffed with vegetables, hash browns & toast. Han served his homemade yogurt and blueberry compote that were delicious. We had a nice visit with them before we left this morning. They are a perfect host.
The upstairs has two bedrooms that share a bathroom. Yesterday we were the only people staying there so we didn't have to share the bathroom. We don't usually mind sharing a bathroom so it's a not big deal for us but if you don't like to share the bathroom, you might want to find out beforehand if they had the other room rented.

Thank you, Nora, for your kind review. We are always pleased when guests are happy. We are also pleased you made reference to the shared bathroom as once in a while that point gets missed and we don't want our guests to be surprised. We hope the rest of your journey proved enjoyable. Best regards, Hans & Tannis

We just loved our stay at the Tea Cozy bed-and-breakfast. We stayed two separate nights and used it as a jumping off point before we went to Toffino and after we returned.
The hosts were wonderful and the rooms were charming, spotless and welcoming.
The breakfasts were incredible, it is not every day that a trained chef make us breakfast.
We also liked walking around the grounds they were charming and fun.
Overall this is a gem of a bed and breakfast can not speak highly enough of it.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights with Hans & Tanis in April over Easter weekend. We could not have had a better experience! Adorable decorating, incredibly comfortable beds (seriously, softest sheets ever), little chocolates by the bedside and delicious pound cake waiting for us on arrival... Breakfast was to die for. Waffles one day and omelets the next, in generous portions, with maple bacon, yogurt and granola, tons of fruit, and individual pots of tea for each guest! Everything was homemade. Best of all, Hans & Tanis are lovely people who we really enjoyed meeting. They made us feel so welcome. They gave us great suggestions for hikes things to do in the area, and we so enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast and as we came and went during the day. And to top everything off, the price was so reasonable! I would definitely recommend Tea Cozy to anyone wanting a cheerful, relaxing place to stay on the island.

We had 4 adults and 2 young children. Tannis and Hans set up crib and air mattress for the kids, let us used their kitchen and grill for dinner. Hans made delicious breakfast, much better than the ones we had at hotels. The house is so beautiful - Fine china collections and paintings in the house; cute dwarfs, flowers and nice lawn outside. Everyone had a great time there. Wish we were there longer. Definitely recommend this place.

Upon arrival we found a nice welcoming snack in our room with fresh cut melon and homemade cake, and of course we got some fresh brewed tea. Hans and Tanner were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable at their home. The stay was well rounded off with a delicious breakfast by chef Hans. We would return anytime again. Our best B&B during our 2 week Canada vacation!
